Einsatzgruppe A, had 990 members. If we subtract from this the 172 vehicle drivers, 3 women employees, 51 interpreters, 3 teletypewriter operators and 8 radio operators, there are about 750 combatants left to use for the mass killings

2018-10-15 04:32:48 UTC

and afterwards , anyone questioning the accuracy of the numbers was labeled as anti-semitic

2018-10-15 04:32:52 UTC

to 15th October 1941, Einsatzgruppe A supposedly killed 125,000 Jews. Considering the fact that the mass murders first began in August the overwhelming ma- jority of the 125,000 victims, let us say 120,000, must have been killed in a period of ten weeks.

2018-10-15 04:32:58 UTC

except if they claim the numbers were higher

2018-10-15 04:33:13 UTC

@John Rebuttal no, because that number isn't being used to calculate the death toll, it's just Korherr's estimation for how many Jews were in the General Government at the time. What is used from the Korherr Report is his number for how many Jews were given "special treatment" in the camps in the GG and Warthegau, which are respectively 1274166 + 145301 = 1419467

2018-10-15 04:33:32 UTC

So in ten weeks 750 people killed 125,000

2018-10-15 04:33:51 UTC

In addition of finding them

2018-10-15 04:33:57 UTC

Capturing them

2018-10-15 04:34:01 UTC

@The_Don_73 why do you think those 172 vehicle drivers and 51 interpreters weren't also combatants

2018-10-15 04:34:40 UTC

and the Einsatzgruppen didn't work alone

2018-10-15 04:34:52 UTC

they had Wehrmacht members helping them too

2018-10-15 04:34:53 UTC

The first paragraph was quoted from Hilbergs work

2018-10-15 04:34:58 UTC

Lmao

2018-10-15 04:35:04 UTC

Unless he’s wrong

2018-10-15 04:35:46 UTC

some years ago before bbc went totally crazy they made a documentary about the numbers.

2018-10-15 04:35:57 UTC

i may watch it again

2018-10-15 04:36:44 UTC

i respect your dedication to this topic , though @agag

2018-10-15 04:37:16 UTC

i mean, in that i like when people know a subject well.

2018-10-15 04:37:19 UTC

It’s seems to have a lack of numbers

2018-10-15 04:37:22 UTC

any subject

2018-10-15 04:37:31 UTC

How many individuals helped

2018-10-15 04:40:10 UTC

OK, I found the actual part in Hilberg's book. It's on page 289. What you posted is not a direct quote.

2018-10-15 04:40:35 UTC

Nowhere does Hilberg say that you should subtract these members from the overall number of people operating

2018-10-15 04:43:57 UTC

Do you assert every person was a combatant

2018-10-15 04:44:38 UTC

This does count indigenous units no?

2018-10-15 04:44:40 UTC

probably not the female employees and the administration, but the rest I see no reason for them not to be combatants

2018-10-15 04:45:04 UTC

As auxiliary

2018-10-15 04:45:11 UTC

no this doesn't count indigenous units, this is the core Einsatzgruppen unit. Indigeneous units were additional to this

2018-10-15 04:46:41 UTC

“They rounded the Lithuanians, Estonians, Latvians and Ukrainians as auxiliary police”

2018-10-15 04:46:48 UTC

Maybe I’m missing something

2018-10-15 04:47:03 UTC

But that say “auxiliary police” in the graph

2018-10-15 04:47:27 UTC

oh, yes, the auxillary police included in that calculation are

2018-10-15 04:47:41 UTC

but there were other indigenous people that assisted the Einsatzgruppen as well

2018-10-15 04:48:13 UTC

Such as?

2018-10-15 04:48:37 UTC

the holocaustcontroversies link I sent earlier talks about them

2018-10-15 04:48:44 UTC

Which one

2018-10-15 04:52:09 UTC

Yeah I read that
