which is in line with the common practice of the time to substitute the name Yahweh with Adonai or Kyrios

2018-10-04 04:11:12 UTC

ofcourse he is

2018-10-04 04:11:17 UTC

@TradChad yes of course

2018-10-04 04:11:29 UTC

Right, but why would The Lord allow it to persist in scripture? Also I found what I wanted to refer to earlier - It is believed that Christ did actually use the Tetragrammaton even as an Arabic speaker as seen in John 8:58 .

**John 8:58 - New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)**

```Dust
<58> Jesus said to them, "Very truly, I tell you, before Abraham was, I am." ```
2018-10-04 04:11:30 UTC
turia should stop thinking such heresies
2018-10-04 04:11:31 UTC
@agag Turia said he takes the entire bible literally and that christ is not all knowing
2018-10-04 04:11:49 UTC
sure sucks when people can read huh
2018-10-04 04:11:51 UTC
One particular incident, as I have stated before, was when he referred to himself as I am. Iam = yahweh=Lord
2018-10-04 04:11:56 UTC
Why does Jesus always say "Very truly,"
2018-10-04 04:12:01 UTC
best to just misquote them and falsely equate them to random things
2018-10-04 04:12:16 UTC
totally isnt what catholics usually do to shame people
2018-10-04 04:12:17 UTC
@Turia do you take the entire bible literally
2018-10-04 04:12:19 UTC
@Supreme Leader Kim 🧧 it's a translation of amen
2018-10-04 04:12:23 UTC
in KJV it'd be verily
2018-10-04 04:12:24 UTC
In Gospel of John everytime Jesus speaks he says Very truly,
2018-10-04 04:12:28 UTC
oh ok
2018-10-04 04:12:30 UTC
It's a difficult issue that is posed too, because the "YHWH" is Hebrew and most of the NT is Greek
2018-10-04 04:12:33 UTC
John 8:58
2018-10-04 04:12:34 UTC
**John 8:58 - Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition (DRA)**
<58> Jesus said to them: Amen, amen I say to you, before Abraham was made, I am. ```
2018-10-04 04:12:40 UTC
bro, if someone in a literal history book says hey here's a parable
2018-10-04 04:12:45 UTC
John 8:58 NIV
2018-10-04 04:12:45 UTC
**John 8:58 - New International Version (NIV)**
```Dust

<58> "Very truly I tell you," Jesus answered, "before Abraham was born, I am!" ```

2018-10-04 04:12:45 UTC

DRA is so based

2018-10-04 04:12:49 UTC

Sri Dharma Pravartaka Acharya, he has a Phd in religious studies. I believe he studied with catholics for a while as well on bibilical hermeneutics and interpretation. You might say he is a little biased given his religious background, but his religious academic background is pretty hard to dismiss. Plus the guy spends hours talking about sexual and liberal degeneracy and atheism in the modern world, so I can't just call him a liberal academic. @Immensa Despite the name he is actually a white guy of Spanish and English descent.

2018-10-04 04:12:50 UTC

Yeah, its a way that greek functions and modifies language

2018-10-04 04:12:52 UTC

John 8:58 KJV

2018-10-04 04:12:52 UTC

**John 8:58 - King James Version (KJV)**

```Dust
<58> Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. ```
2018-10-04 04:12:55 UTC
then the parable is not literal
2018-10-04 04:12:56 UTC
@Turia Jesus did not say here is a parable
2018-10-04 04:12:58 UTC
but the book is still literal
2018-10-04 04:13:00 UTC
Mark 13:32 is not a parable
2018-10-04 04:13:00 UTC
**Mark 13:32 - Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition (DRA)**
```Dust

<32> But of that day or hour no man knoweth, neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but the Father. ```

2018-10-04 04:13:03 UTC

then he's being literal

2018-10-04 04:13:06 UTC

@agag is Mark 13:32 a parable

2018-10-04 04:13:07 UTC

**Mark 13:32 - Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition (DRA)**

```Dust
<32> But of that day or hour no man knoweth, neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but the Father. ```
