there's still a massive difference between East / West europe

2018-10-09 08:47:30 UTC

@Darkstar damn Nordic countries and their well funded welfare programmes

2018-10-09 08:48:11 UTC

2018-10-09 08:48:19 UTC

2018-10-09 08:48:36 UTC

Austria is central Europe I think

2018-10-09 08:48:37 UTC

what do you guys classify Finland as

2018-10-09 08:49:17 UTC

Scandinavian countries, CGP grey has a good video explaining the Nordic terms.

2018-10-09 08:50:27 UTC

Middle East, East Asia, Western Europe, North America, and Australia/NZ are the only areas of the world where you make $20,000+ year per capita

2018-10-09 08:50:54 UTC

2018-10-09 08:51:10 UTC

@ANGRY person(LastxSamurai) fuck our welfare programmes

2018-10-09 08:51:25 UTC
2018-10-09 08:51:43 UTC

the "world average" is 10k/year

2018-10-09 08:51:46 UTC

oof

2018-10-09 08:51:57 UTC

bcs we spend way too much on it

2018-10-09 08:51:59 UTC

we are on debt

2018-10-09 08:52:10 UTC

in debt

2018-10-09 08:52:22 UTC

@thrill_house it must include purchasing power parity tho, as living costs in each individual country is different

2018-10-09 08:52:33 UTC

it was like 40-50% of our money goes to welfare

2018-10-09 08:52:51 UTC

I thought that's only Italy, Ireland and Spain

2018-10-09 08:53:02 UTC

I've been researching wage vs. home costs for a while trying to figure out where to live in USA

2018-10-09 08:53:09 UTC

North

2018-10-09 08:53:12 UTC

Which in turn gives everyone affordable healthcare and education

2018-10-09 08:53:38 UTC

a lot of the money doesn't go into useful stuff like that

2018-10-09 08:53:43 UTC

You will be glad about that when you're old and sick, or your parents grow old.

2018-10-09 08:53:47 UTC

have you seen the roads outside south

2018-10-09 08:53:54 UTC

they are getting shittier every single day

2018-10-09 08:54:03 UTC

so much money given to unemployed people

2018-10-09 08:54:18 UTC

who don't choose to work bcs they make more money off welfare than actually having a job

2018-10-09 08:54:27 UTC

fuck affordable health care / education

2018-10-09 08:54:37 UTC

haha y3s

2018-10-09 08:54:46 UTC

throwing money into education doeesn't fix our problems

2018-10-09 08:54:49 UTC

*doesn't

2018-10-09 08:54:57 UTC

Um can you give me how the unemployment welfare structure works in Finland?

2018-10-09 08:55:15 UTC

our education system here is designed so that it's as valued as the community wants it to be

2018-10-09 08:55:51 UTC

It's hard to explain in english

2018-10-09 08:56:12 UTC

@thrill_house and not investing money into education worsens everything. Look at the US honestly, largest economy yet it's industry mostly comprises low-skilled manufacturing which can easily be subjected to competition by developing countries with a large labour force like China.

2018-10-09 08:56:18 UTC

I can try when I get home

2018-10-09 08:57:11 UTC

Finland has so much unemployment

2018-10-09 08:57:19 UTC

When in terms of exports I mean, the US manufacturing industry is way behind other developed countries overall.
