The thought that one cannot know anything quite for certain, and that ultimately every part of reality is just what one has the faith to believe it is.

2019-03-27 03:50:50 UTC

Mostly true

2019-03-27 03:51:08 UTC

There is some things we can know

2019-03-27 03:51:19 UTC

like?

2019-03-27 03:51:27 UTC

like how the bees need saving

2019-03-27 03:51:38 UTC

As opposed to Moral Nihilism, which is effectively, “Nothing matters, so I’ll drive myself to do as much of what I want to do as I can get away with.”

2019-03-27 03:51:39 UTC

Like you cant stick water to a spinning ball

2019-03-27 03:51:42 UTC

lol @elle

2019-03-27 03:51:56 UTC

*Elle isn’t wrong, to be fair.*

2019-03-27 03:52:07 UTC

So why believe in pseudoscience

2019-03-27 03:52:10 UTC

gravity would like to know your location

2019-03-27 03:52:12 UTC

come on, those examples are not 100%

2019-03-27 03:52:12 UTC

what the heck did i miss

2019-03-27 03:52:38 UTC

true wisdom is knowing you know nothing at all

2019-03-27 03:52:40 UTC

@evil chicken lets say im in the Hudson bay. Gravity seems to have trouble there.

2019-03-27 03:52:57 UTC

what about hudson bay? whats special about this bay?

2019-03-27 03:53:01 UTC

I didn’t say I was quite an epistemological nihilist, but I was curious on your stance, Z. Very interesting.

2019-03-27 03:53:12 UTC

Gravity is missing.

2019-03-27 03:53:19 UTC

i would appreciate any flat earther to debate in my dms

2019-03-27 03:53:32 UTC

i am an epistemological nihilist

2019-03-27 03:53:45 UTC

neato

2019-03-27 03:53:47 UTC

im pretty sure you will find gravity may be slightly weaker or stronger depending on the density of the crust around that area but i find it hard to believe that gravity is missing

2019-03-27 03:53:48 UTC

@Ætos not sure exactly. Probably take the position that everything is up for investigation.

2019-03-27 03:53:52 UTC

The regression of that, Elle, is that if you *know* that you know *nothing*, then you do know *something.*

2019-03-27 03:54:01 UTC

i-

2019-03-27 03:54:14 UTC

@evil chicken how did you determine there is a crust?

2019-03-27 03:54:28 UTC

More pseudoscience

2019-03-27 03:54:33 UTC

So like an epistemological nihilist, but mixed with skepticism? That makes sense for a Flat Earther.

2019-03-27 03:54:50 UTC

Not a bad worldview, either.

2019-03-27 03:54:52 UTC

Hey

2019-03-27 03:54:53 UTC

Assumption after assumption built upon assumptions @evil chicken

2019-03-27 03:55:01 UTC

that is a good question but you cant just declare a field that you dont know about pseudo science

2019-03-27 03:55:02 UTC

epistemological nihilist is PURE skeptic.

2019-03-27 03:55:04 UTC
2019-03-27 03:55:05 UTC

i don't know that i know nothing i just believe that i know nothing

2019-03-27 03:55:19 UTC

i can't know anything

2019-03-27 03:55:29 UTC

so whats up with the gravity at hudson bay ?

2019-03-27 03:55:34 UTC

dont you know your own wxistence

2019-03-27 03:55:36 UTC

naww u cant just kill that sweet irony like that:(
