Scientific method means you have to eliminate your null hypothesis in order to conclude your main hypothesis, your null hypothesis is mass DOES NOT cause acceleration

@Biga S They have EVERYTHING to do with Cavendish experiment, you are using an independent variable MASS which is your asserted cause to MEASURE your dependent variable , which is your effect which would be ACCELERATION.
