Just like in the time of the Pharisees, people will always try and twist the word of God for their own purposes. If you ask me, don't let yourself be bound by denominations. Nowadays it's as if all of them seem to be subject to change.
I was reading what seemed to be perfectly good theology book, when suddenly the author started saying that third world countries owning large debts to western countries is the greatest moral problem of our age and Christians should try to get that debt absolved

my boyfriend's parents say that they need to see some spiritual growth if they're gonna let us get married, but i don't know what i can do to grow in my faith anymore. i go to church, read my bible daily, pray before every meal
