The only problem when taking it apart is taking off the 4 corner pads on the screen, usually you screw up if you're not careful, which is what happened to me when I wanted to paint mine

No the plastic shell

You have to take out those corner pieces to remove it, it's also a pain to remove

Once you get off the plastic shell everything gets a lot easier as long as you're careful

Just a small Phillips

A small flathead is good to have too though for prying stuff

It should be contained in the module though

In theory as long as it's just the screen module, then yes

Just depending on what you want to replace it'll take more time

If I were you I'd transplant the circlepad from the old one and put it in the new one, and possibly later on repair the older one

There are a lot of ribbon style cables when you're digging into the 3DS too so be careful.
