The term identity politics is much like the term "cultural Marxism." People have a hard time defining it and use it instead of actually looking into the REAL problems our civilizations face.

if you have a country with a coherent identity, "identity politics" is a uniting force

you cant just *use* identity politics, you have to constantly barrage everyone around you with the idea that you're oppressed because OPPRESSED is the identity

not *black* or *asian* or *hispanic* or *female*

those are just coincidences at best and distractions at worst
