I have a theory about something. We've heard about the Flint, MI situation, with a high level of lead in the water, and how lead poisoning may cause brain damage in children. In the past, lead was used to construct dishes and utensils. I haven't looked this up, but what if lead poisoning also damages DNA? If that happens, then it may damage the DNA in the reproductive cells, which could explain how we got the real mental illnesses we see so commonly today. Of course, this is only a theory. An under-researched one, at that.

I mean I have done DNA research projects, but I do not believe that lead would have any way to affect DNA, as it doesn’t have an effect on nitrogenous bases
