coins like bitcoin, ethereum, litecoin, ripple are good for long holds. theyll all eventually go up.
for faster money you're going to want to trade in more obscure, or up and coming coins.

So I put about $100 on the exchange in BTC, because it wasn't doing anything sitting in coinbase, but I only plan on playing with half of it for now
