Coronavirus caused the DOW to drop little over 1000 points.

2020-02-27 19:04:17 UTC

Hardly a "crash"

2020-02-27 19:04:41 UTC

It looks like a blip on the scale, while the 2008 event looks like a dive.

2020-02-27 19:04:58 UTC

Yeah

2020-02-27 19:05:07 UTC

You literally can't blame trump for this

2020-02-27 19:05:43 UTC

I’m not blaming him for anything but eating my ass

2020-02-27 19:06:02 UTC

He’s very persistent

2020-02-27 19:36:23 UTC

Dow futures turned from positive to negative during Trump’s coronavirus news conference

2020-02-27 19:36:33 UTC

Obviously yes, it’s trump’s fault

2020-02-27 19:36:42 UTC

If he had been prepared this could have been staved off

2020-02-27 19:37:17 UTC

DOW futures turned negative because the CDC confirmed community spreading.

2020-02-27 19:37:18 UTC

Trumpers have been giving him credit for Obama’s economy for 3 years, Trump owns this crash 100%

2020-02-27 19:37:24 UTC

Hahahha right.

2020-02-27 19:37:27 UTC

That had already happened

2020-02-27 19:37:38 UTC

It happened after DOW futures were positive.

2020-02-27 19:37:38 UTC

It happened during his news conference

2020-02-27 19:37:44 UTC

Yeah-no.

2020-02-27 19:37:50 UTC

Yep, then his news conference made them tank

2020-02-27 19:37:57 UTC

No, there's nothing on that.

2020-02-27 19:37:59 UTC

Because he showed his incompetence in dealing with it

2020-02-27 19:38:07 UTC

No just simple facts about chronology

2020-02-27 19:38:07 UTC

All the stock market news stations say it's because of the community spreading.

2020-02-27 19:38:22 UTC

Trump doesn't own Covid-19, hence this correction is not really his fault.

> The Dow Is Down 357 Points as Coronavirus Cases Keep Growing

2020-02-27 19:38:29 UTC

But keep your wildly partisan pro trump stance as he bungles the response

2020-02-27 19:38:43 UTC

Is it a correction or is it covid?

2020-02-27 19:38:49 UTC

Those are different things buddy

2020-02-27 19:39:05 UTC

A correction caused by covid.

2020-02-27 19:39:36 UTC

That’s not how that works.

2020-02-27 19:40:47 UTC

People are selling because of the virus, not because of a press conference that was positive in nature lmao

2020-02-27 19:57:06 UTC

Futures were positive before the conference, negative after

2020-02-27 19:57:29 UTC

That means the conference failed to assuage fears, despite that being the purpose.

2020-02-27 19:57:42 UTC

Because people do not have confidence in trump’s ability to prevent the spread.

2020-02-27 19:57:54 UTC

Or maybe, it's because cases keep growing.

2020-02-27 19:57:57 UTC

As Barrons said

2020-02-27 19:57:57 UTC

Because he’s extraordinarily incompetent and everyone knows.

2020-02-27 19:58:11 UTC

No new cases were announced in the press conference.

2020-02-27 19:58:17 UTC

Use your brain sweetie.

2020-02-27 19:58:29 UTC

I'm not believing your statement, since normally you're factually incorrect.

2020-02-27 19:58:34 UTC

I'm also more likely to believe Barrons.

2020-02-27 20:01:01 UTC

@NewRogernomics The departments of education and health are two entirely separate entities while the CDC and NIH are agencies within one epartment, the HHS, so I don't think these two scenerios are exactly equivalent. That being said, I did miss where you clarified recent vs past cuts, so my apologies. Trump wanting to fund the CDC more *now* is a step in the right direction but he shouldn't have put himself in this position in the first place, since health services and organizations in general should be funded more especially in case a situation like this comes up. Because this virus is definitely not being over hyped, we still have the same incorrect death rate of 2-5% being thrown around, and we still have erroneous comparisons with the flu being peddled to make it seem that this is just like a flu epidemic while it's tearing ass through the rest of the world (which Trump himself did in the latest press conference).
