Ive been in an accident before. It can be sacry and even when its not your fault, its true... it does change the way you drive and your mindset behind the wheel.
I was coming down a hill and there was an oil slick on the road. I hit the brakes and slipped into 4 lanes of traffic. Car wad hit by a bus, spun around and hit again by a truck and finally hit a telephone pole.
The ambulance on the scene slipped on the same oil and slid onto someones lawn. It was the paramedics statment to the police about the slippery road that saved my ass. Insurance gave me no issue replacint the totaled car and the police report stated that i was not at fault.
From now on im always paranoid around steep hills and i take aproaching intersections of any kind much slower and behin to brake long before i come to a crossing.
