I personally find that style of m14 ugly

2018-07-14 20:26:24 UTC

What do you guys suggest for an EDC: Aluminum foil knife, or Pasta knife

2018-07-14 20:26:41 UTC

To make an M1 garand like that is just an insult

2018-07-14 20:27:14 UTC

The foil knife retains an edge better, I'd be worried about it delaminating when I really needed it

That one actually looks pretty cool if you pretend it's not an abomination

2018-07-14 20:35:30 UTC

I still find the "magazine in front of trigger" for pistols rather strange.

2018-07-14 20:35:41 UTC

I am an ammosexual

2018-07-14 20:35:42 UTC

Just personal taste

2018-07-14 20:37:46 UTC

Came across this pic of a flintlock recently. Usually you see the axe bit on the end of the barrel.

2018-07-14 20:38:29 UTC

hmm

2018-07-14 20:38:40 UTC

Interesting choice

2018-07-14 20:38:49 UTC

How does one hold that? Lnaoy

2018-07-14 20:38:55 UTC

carefully

2018-07-14 20:39:18 UTC

Well, you would make a sorta aimed shot with the thing and then you'd use it as an axe

2018-07-14 20:39:23 UTC

that rifle from fucking hunt showdown looked more useable

2018-07-14 20:39:29 UTC

I understand some thought for that, 1 it first in the holster better, 2 it works better as an axe

2018-07-14 20:39:59 UTC

Is that a spare ammo holder in the stock?

2018-07-14 20:40:06 UTC

this shit right here

2018-07-14 20:40:20 UTC

nice, I like that one

2018-07-14 20:40:27 UTC

That does look like it might be functional

2018-07-14 20:40:34 UTC

The grip seems a bit too curved to work well as an axe. If the head were rotated 180 degrees it would make more sense

2018-07-14 20:40:58 UTC

But it might not be intended for use; it might be some smith's masterpiece and just meant to look impressive

2018-07-14 20:41:09 UTC

Which one? The pistol?

2018-07-14 20:41:19 UTC

it's from a video game so it's not really meant to be realistically functional lol

2018-07-14 20:41:19 UTC

yeah

2018-07-14 20:41:21 UTC

2018-07-14 20:41:44 UTC

Because I would say that if you twisted the axe head to the side, it would make sense.

2018-07-14 20:42:03 UTC

However, there are axes with that much of a bend near the head that work

2018-07-14 20:42:14 UTC

That would cause it to lose some impact due to rotation

2018-07-14 20:42:41 UTC

That bend allows for a stronger impact

2018-07-14 20:42:42 UTC

that much bend going *back* though? If it were the other way around it would be more like a kukri

2018-07-14 20:43:11 UTC

Because it means you swing is that much farther along before the head impacts

2018-07-14 20:43:42 UTC

Do you have any examples, because I've never seen an axe like that

2018-07-14 20:43:57 UTC

Yeah, I'll have to look up a few

2018-07-14 20:44:02 UTC

Awesome, thanks

2018-07-14 20:45:04 UTC

I'll have to look later, but watch a few of skallagrim's video on YouTube on axes

2018-07-14 20:47:12 UTC

just looking at the thumbnails a see a couple tool axes with a very slight backwards bend, but a tool axe and a battle axe are very different things
