Rules of the Internet were created on 4chan. If you follow anything about free speech online, you should have bumped into them, eventually

if you spend any length of time online, you should have run into them

there's a lot that goes into internet culture, and there's a lot of subcultures on each site. Also things on the Internet evolve rapidly. If you are above 40 I would say it is natural that you aren't keeping up
