Well... one of the lesbians was obviously into deadpool, sooo...
Always go by the audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. The critic score is political.
The audience score for Deadpool 2 is about the same as the critic score so it can't be that bad.
But you also get things like this:
https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/death_wish_2018
I remember listening to a podcast and the guy on there said that it's better for a movie to get a Rotten Tomatoes score in the mid 80's rather than the 90's, as a score in the 90's is the sign of a film for critics while a score in the 80's is more of a sign of mainstream appeal
That makes sense to me.
If every critic agrees it's likely virtue signaling and not actual criticism.
Maybe I've been watching the "solo: a star wars story" reviews while the critical score has stayed at 70% but audience score whent down to 54% and now it's up to 63%
Which makes me think there's some fuckery going on there.
Solo seems caught between the two factions
those who see a female and scream sjws have gone too far and those who see anything progressive and go this is the best thing since sliced bread
and somewhere in the middle are real reviews
once again: "We want to be treated equally by being treated differently!"

@Grenade123 I mean star wars dose have some progressive bullshit in it, but the last two films were just lazy.
and that is where the real criticize lies. stuck in-between the to factions. No, its not suck because, or not solely because, it has progressive bs in. And no, it is not great just because it has progressive bs in it. The problem comes down to being lazy writing, and uninteresting story telling. Ultimately the cause for this is irrelevant, the solution is to stop being lazy.
One of my main gripes is that Finn has no purpose as a character. He does nothing. Accomplishes nothing.
He's not a hero because he's continually running away.
Even when he fights, he's somehow shown to be wrong for doing so.
The one time he could have been a hero the mechanic person stopped him.
I don't get what purpose they think he serves.
At this point he's just a foil and love interest for the mechanic asian that nobody remembers the name of.
Who just kinda showed up and was a mary sue.
the problems of last jedi wernt really the progressivism, that probably reinforced it, but it wasent the real issue, it was actually full blown incompatency behind the writing
I think the two problems are deeply intertwined.
that movie doesent just ruin starwars, it ruined the last movie in the sequince and people had problems with that movie to start with
My main problem is that Rey never gets a fucking scratch one her and is just magically the best at everything with so little training.
Yeah that's awful
you look at the original trilogy and Luke fucking sucks at everything, constantly needing his buddies to save his ass. and only haft he disappears for god knows how long does he come back at all competent, and he still almost dies in the end
Luke is supposed to be extremely powerful, and it takes him years of training and failure to achieve anything.
yeah i dont really care to much about that in 8. i think they should have solved that, but at the same time i dont actually think RAY is even the main character in that movie, i think she has less than 50% screentime
also, what did they do to fucking luke?!
"i won't strike you down in anger....but'll kill this little kid here"
