I didnt say opinions need degrees or that ''people cant be on videos'', they can do whatever they want, I only said their opinions arent particularly valid. Not any more valid than say your dad when he's commenting on something he reads in the newspaper.

You singled out these youtubers as having opinions that "aren't particularly valid" that seems to imply that some opinions are more valid. So who can have a valid opinion is it just you?
Okay I just read back and nowhere did I say anything about some opinions being more valid than other opinions. More the contrary that their opinions are equal to the opinion of basically anyone else.

the majority of all news since the construction of news media companys has been someone else dressing up the reporting of another person in a way that best fits their narritive, EVEN if that narritive is to present the truth best possible in a way that is most easly digested, though rarely ever that noble. the invention of the television actually got us closer to on the ground reporting and witnessing real events than before that even though news existed in some form, centurys before tv or radio. some anime or dog profile picture with a human void talking about something that in itself is probably about someones oppinion in the first place is simply radio with nice images, no more no less real than you get elsewhere.
ultimately if you want the truth, no one can do more work for you than yourself even about a topic on the other side of the world, because youll never know more than what you perceive and rationalize, so the perceptions of others and rationality of others will only ever be a tiny fraction of influince on what you are truly capible of knowing
That's not a bad sentiment @Arch-Fiend, we are ultimately the arbiters of what is or isn't true for ourselves.
ultimately even then were flawed, so really i dont worry to much about what the truth is, 99% of us are just going to assume the truth is what we think anyway
