I do recall living in a neighborhood where you owned the sidewalk in front of your house and therefore had to make sure it was clear. But that was just getting in trouble with the HOA and not the cops

it's probably just Krautia, I'd guess. I'm Yorop as well and here it's not your duty to clean the sidewalk, nor does anybody force you to remove snow in winter
