Oh yeah

2020-03-06 19:52:03 UTC

Idk what he is either

2020-03-06 19:52:25 UTC

I think someone in Argent’s server said he’s currently a neocon

2020-03-06 19:52:36 UTC

thats odd

2020-03-06 19:52:44 UTC

But he has criticized them a lot in his documentaries

2020-03-06 19:53:43 UTC

I think he said he was a left wing libertarian but idk what he is now

2020-03-06 19:54:09 UTC

>left libertarian
yikes

2020-03-06 19:54:57 UTC

>yikes
opinion discarded

2020-03-06 19:59:47 UTC

I’m will to look past that though his documentaries are pretty good and he makes good points

2020-03-06 20:00:42 UTC

you cant just discard my opinion like that

2020-03-06 20:00:45 UTC

Adam Curtis' documentaries are must watch. Seriously, watch "Century of the Self."

2020-03-06 20:00:54 UTC

i watched the first part

2020-03-06 20:00:59 UTC

have not gotten around to watching the rest of it

2020-03-06 20:01:36 UTC

You hear from so many "german" psychologists it's hilarious.

2020-03-06 20:01:51 UTC

I can’t remember how much I watched century of the self I know I watched the first and I think the second

2020-03-06 20:02:33 UTC

His documentaries the bitter lake, hypernormalization, and the power of nightmares where pretty good as well

2020-03-06 20:02:44 UTC

all the parts in a playlist

2020-03-06 20:02:46 UTC

whats the power of nightmares

2020-03-06 20:02:54 UTC

sounds epic

2020-03-06 20:03:34 UTC

It was made in the 2000s it was about how politicians take advantage of fears of the public

2020-03-06 20:05:00 UTC

sounds kinda like what he was talking about in century of the self where he says politicians and advertisements switched from objective facts to manipulating the desires of their target audience

2020-03-06 20:06:03 UTC

This looks more at the politicians themselves though

2020-03-06 20:06:24 UTC

I also recommend the bitter lake as well

2020-03-06 20:07:32 UTC

I don’t like the editing in the first 45 minutes or so but it’s still very good

2020-03-06 20:08:14 UTC
2020-03-06 20:08:43 UTC

I don't think that's how Coronavirus works

2020-03-06 20:10:52 UTC

@Skellington It talks about how Americans built a dam in Afghanistan in the 1930s and that raised the water table which increased the salt in the soil which made poppies grow there
