probably because unregulated capitalism leads to those in society with the greatest talent for managing money to accumulate money and then use that money to prevent any one else good at managing money from benefiting the system that they used to get to their position and threaten their position of power

freedom for all is a threat to the security of centralized power once power becomes centralized when it had freedom to centralize

i would contest how much of this unregulated capitalism is unregulated

veiw it over a historical period of time. its moderately regulated now, 70% of those regulations being ones that now benefit all the large profit organizations which formulated during a period of low regulation to then manipulate politics and social perception in ways to make competitive entry into the industries that they dominate more difficult unless you have high wealth

lots of regulations that dont favor the 1% dont adress modern economical issues, who even needs a monopoly any more as a monopoly is defined when you have international markets that far outsize any national market's potential

if you want to see unregulated capitalism, look at albania in the 90s

they had just come out of communism and the government and other buisness men basically created the largest pyramid scheme ever

and caused the collapse of the entire government
