Like at the recent senate hearing with Twitter and Facebook, freedom of speech was barely mentioned.
It was mostly about muh russia.
I think it is more of a motivator for the youngest base
There is a decent demographic but it won't be as apparent yet
Right now I am a single issue voter, and that is whoever is most likely to clean up this God awful social security mess or at least not pass on the bill to me and my kids since I am 21
I work i use my time and my energy to produce I pour my life into increasing my value and working for my employer time i can and never will get back and then after i have given part of my life a man from Washington aims a gun at me and demands I give part of my life to another only I never got the joy of fucking someone before hand I only have the pain of caring for another against my will @Timcast
Even though i give 10% of all that I make to charity and some months more than that I am still forced to give more and I will never see a return on the money I give
Complaining about taxes because of threat of a gun isn't a great argument
We choose to live in a place with taxes we are agreeing to pay those taxes
The better argument is how much taxes and fighting the bad spending
I am fighting bad spending
Im ok paying for things that I use
Better yet is arguing for most social programs to be state or local
Federal government is only responsible for international issues like military and diplomacy
Im saying social programs are an infringement of individual liberties telling a mother & father to care for the kid they made by willfully fucking is just telling people to not be irresponsible leeches
Social programs are fine but if we had them on a state level at least we could choose which ones we want by leaving to another state
And if there is misuse of funds the people responsible aren't a thousand miles away
I disagree
I didn’t choose to be born in NJ and frankly I don’t wanna pay for someone else its unconstitutional
You choose to stay there
What part of the Constitution?
And I’m referring to the preamble
It makes disgusting things like income tax theoretically impossible
But power corrupts
I disagree that income tax should be impossible under the preamble, however there was a big question of direct tax amongst the founding fathers
It was s controversial issue early on and had not been used for a quite some time after the Constitution
Fdr fucked my country up bad I want the old deal back
The one where hard work and intelligence is rewarded and everything else is allowed to take its natural course
He did set some dangerous precedents
If I choose to lay my life down and help the downtrodden that is my decision but if I am expected to sacrifice my intellect and body for the good of another they can take them both and simply consume my rotting corpse because i will die before being a slave to any man
In response to what particular scenario?
40% taxes things like that
You expect me to live under the assumption only 60% of the fruits of my labor are mine?
All I want is to live and die by my own will and capacity
If the military is ok with working Ill pay them if the cops will work ill pay them if the government wants to make roads ill pay for that ill even pay judges and other elected officials but im not gonna pay someone to do nothing sorry
I'm not asking you to
Course new deal somewhat goes along with that logic
There was some good that came out of that, but an overreaching president is bad for the long run
Course we rarely talk about Congress decades ago
The ones typically adding on to the budget and passing these omnibus bills
