2019-01-07 19:43:33 UTC

She got like .005% of her district to vote for her in a primary and since democrats are lemmings on welfare paid to vote she won

2019-01-07 19:51:32 UTC

And the media loves her...

2019-01-07 19:51:43 UTC

...for now

2019-01-07 19:51:46 UTC

The media loved hillary

2019-01-07 19:51:58 UTC

2019-01-08 02:05:09 UTC

this or our current national anthem

2019-01-08 07:17:55 UTC

@Unwound How many want war in Syria at the moment?

2019-01-08 09:24:03 UTC

66'

2019-01-08 10:43:27 UTC

No one wants war. But now that we created this mess, a vacuum looks even worse than some variation on the current measured course.

2019-01-08 10:44:19 UTC

We should never have invaded Iraq in 2003.

2019-01-08 10:44:34 UTC

But we did.

2019-01-08 11:12:10 UTC

That is not true.
There are some people that want war.

2019-01-08 11:12:15 UTC

John McCain was one of them.

2019-01-08 11:12:22 UTC

Ben Shapiro is another one of those

2019-01-08 11:22:39 UTC

Good point. The reason we're in this mess is because a bipartisan, multinational coalition wanted it in 2003. :-/

2019-01-08 11:26:24 UTC

Let me rephrase what I meant to say. No one *here* that has made their opinions known wants war.

2019-01-08 13:17:37 UTC

I feel a mixture of things on this, but ultimately I lean towards no. Errantry wars in the rest of the world DO keep the military sharp... but if nothing else, we have to much to handle at home ATM.

2019-01-08 17:48:09 UTC

War is bad, it gets people killed, costs astronomical sums of money, and usually makes things far worse before they get better, but it should always be on the table and should only be used when all other diplomatic options have been exhausted

2019-01-08 17:53:22 UTC

Yes, exactly

2019-01-08 17:53:36 UTC

Might be happening in France soon

2019-01-08 18:09:07 UTC

I don't *want* war. I merely recognize it as an incredibly powerful tool of conflict resolution.

2019-01-08 18:31:57 UTC

indeed

2019-01-08 19:05:49 UTC

Nobody said you'd want it.

2019-01-08 19:05:57 UTC

Its just that there are some people who are pro War

2019-01-08 19:06:06 UTC

and Ben Shapiro looks like one of those people

2019-01-08 20:36:24 UTC

War....war never changes...

2019-01-08 21:12:04 UTC

WRONG

2019-01-08 21:12:35 UTC

we used to fight with sticks and stones

then swords and arrows

then guns and missiles

Now we use Memes

2019-01-08 22:19:53 UTC

you could describe war as a constant, the medium has simply changed

2019-01-08 22:20:11 UTC

and IDK. I haven't seen Shapiro's statements on war.

2019-01-08 22:21:04 UTC

In any case though, I do feel that a lot of the existing insanity in the current generation might have been mitigated if the young people of america saw life outside of america itself

2019-01-08 22:21:24 UTC

for some reason, I'm picturing some hillarious american analog to the french foreign legion

2019-01-08 22:21:36 UTC

soudns like a monty python skit

2019-01-09 01:40:27 UTC

I just want to say this about the Tlaib video. How many Israelis have dual citizenship? Many have both American and Israeli citizenship. Citizenship means that you are supposed to be loyal to the country that you are a citizen of. What happens when these two states have diverging interests? You can't be equally loyal to two masters. It is not anti-semitic to ask the obvious question of whether someone who may have dual citizenship will be loyal to the US, or a to foreign power. It is also not anti-semitic to ask if someone who is a Zionist is loyal to the US or to Israel. After all, Zionism is Israeli nationalism. It would be reasonable to ask this if someone is a Turkish nationalist, or a Russian nationalist, or a Chinese nationalist. You can't be equally loyal to two different countries. But we can't ask this of Israeli nationalists in our government and legislative bodies? Why not?

2019-01-09 01:45:45 UTC

You can be equally loyal to two masters...so long as you must never choose between them.
