chat history should be the 11th permission on the list
Much better icon
I can't find any global setting, so might have to set permission to each individual channel.
yes every individual channel
you can create a *category* in which the channels are placed, then you can bulk edit the category settings for multiple channels at once tho
it makes sense to use one channel with invisible history for newcomers if you plan on keeping the invitelink public, to prevent misdeeds by trolls. and then use some kind of roles for new participants that check out so they can see and interact with the other channels. just a suggestion 😃
Yes, that's a very good idea. It's how I've got my own server set up - the invite link sends yo to #lobby, but that's the only thing you can see until you're assigned a role.
as a precaution. you need mods for it, or there are bot solutions which i am not familiar with.
Yeah, the bot solutions are nice, but they're usually pretty complicated to set up
I'm also partial to the IRC role system of Everyone < Voice < Halfop < Op(erator) < Admin
keeps things simple for roles
isnt there some term for *the followers of tim pool* - acolytes of pool, pooligans... something? 😉
None that I'm aware of
me neither hehe

I think Pooligans has a better ring to it
sweet and tender pooligans
Could maybe do Timcasters
dunno, that may be too close to Timcast
could cause confusion
No ghey clan tags plox. 😛
yea but pooligan sounds like a portmanteau of poo and hooligan
It could also be a portmanteau of pool and hooligan, which is how I read it until you said that
well the poo-part IS unfortunate, didnt catch that 😉
how about "warriors of the frozen wastes"
:-/ It's a tad long...
@Timcast What's the purpose of this server? Just a hub for discussions? No image boards or?
news discussion stories and general conversation
Knights of Pool
@SmallPrice I think you're assuming honor where there may not be any. Or at least, I know I don't have that much honor.
well its a bit presumptious yes
