@WOODY I would say that helping others in of itself is a virtuous thing to do that lines up with Western Values, but Democrats and the left has taken it to an extreme, slowly and progressively in the last 50 years

What if say it was a difference in empathy then?

Like the Repubs being American citizens, especially the vets and the homeless, while to the Dems, minorities

@Deleted User I would agree that it aligns with Western values, but disagree that it is virtuous to sacrifice your own values and happiness for others. The democrats are merely taking this principle towards it's logical conclusion. Just as the Socialists in Russia did.

@Deleted User @WOODY Helping others is something that's heavily emphasized by Christian values, upon which most of Western civilization is built, but the main focus of Christianity's "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" is the poor and disabled that are right in front of you, as opposed to the Democrats' "Oh no, these people halfway around the world are so disadvantaged! We must help them!"
