If people should be dreaming of anything it should be a better Mexico. Running away from the problem just prolongs it.

2018-01-10 16:00:20 UTC

And the US ends up picking up the bill.

2018-01-10 16:17:23 UTC

Whers freedome when u cant build a wooden house on your own property

2018-01-10 16:20:42 UTC

stories of Governments forcing people to take down structures that are not to code have been around for ages

2018-01-10 16:25:06 UTC

Sounds like there was a misunderstanding that caused the entire thing in the first place. They were told they could build it and were later told they couldn’t.

2018-01-10 16:25:43 UTC

Never build a structure/building without something written that states that you are allowed to do so.

2018-01-10 16:25:58 UTC

^

2018-01-10 16:26:13 UTC

or that you are not willing to take down at any time

2018-01-10 16:26:43 UTC

i would not even do that because it still could cause fines

2018-01-10 16:27:09 UTC

most things i am willing to take down at any time does not cause fines

2018-01-10 16:27:12 UTC

usually

2018-01-10 16:27:22 UTC

and if it would, i probably wouldn't be living there

2018-01-10 16:27:57 UTC

or make sure no picture of it are taken, clean it up before pictures could be made, then take the city to court and say "prove it was there"

2018-01-10 16:28:15 UTC

lol

2018-01-10 16:28:21 UTC

just to be a cheeky bastard

2018-01-10 16:29:26 UTC

"the city demands money yet cannot prove it is there. I will now take the city officials to court on extortion and racketeering charges."

2018-01-10 17:26:47 UTC

Looking around showed that the investigation was started by an anonymous complaint. So I can ditermine someone was motivated to get the tree house off their property, (tree houses often raise property value)

2018-01-10 17:57:22 UTC

or a neighbor hated the tree house

2018-01-10 17:57:31 UTC

vindictive neighbors are a real problem

2018-01-10 17:57:46 UTC

they are the types of people who eventual set up an HOA

2018-01-10 18:05:27 UTC

Still, an attempt to fix it is better than the dems stonewalling forever. Also shows them that repubs are willing to negotiate.

2018-01-10 18:20:44 UTC

There was an HOA which forced people to keep their garage doors open in Cali

2018-01-10 18:20:55 UTC

Of course some guy got robbed

2018-01-10 18:21:07 UTC

And because they didn't want people living in garages

2018-01-10 18:22:14 UTC

HOA?

2018-01-10 18:22:34 UTC

Home owners association

2018-01-10 18:22:45 UTC

Ah, yeah those cunts

2018-01-10 18:22:59 UTC

Yeah, I'm glad I got out of California while I could.

2018-01-10 18:23:05 UTC

do they have any legal rights?

2018-01-10 18:23:21 UTC

They would get fined $200

2018-01-10 18:23:32 UTC

Though the rule has been halted

2018-01-10 18:23:37 UTC

Is cali really that much of a leftist hole? I assumed most were exaggeration.

2018-01-10 18:23:48 UTC

So they can close garage doors now

2018-01-10 18:23:54 UTC

Id say hellhole but I was worried of exaggeration

2018-01-10 18:23:56 UTC

I was in Long Beach like 8 years ago

2018-01-10 18:24:07 UTC

Probably during the beginning of the abyss

2018-01-10 18:24:24 UTC

No, as someone who grew up and lived in California, it really is that bad. lol

2018-01-10 18:24:44 UTC

Rural or urban?

2018-01-10 18:24:52 UTC

I've spent around the same amount of time outside the US as I've lived in Texas

2018-01-10 18:25:10 UTC

So Cali was like a 2 year thing
