What is your perspective of you current audience tim? Just curious.

2018-01-19 19:05:46 UTC

in fact, when Destiny was coming out, the bragged about actually hiring a psychologist to make the game addicting

2018-01-19 19:05:52 UTC

I'd say just do whatever interests you. There seems to be at least *some* crossover between what you like and your audience likes.

2018-01-19 19:07:36 UTC

Besides hearthstone?

2018-01-19 19:07:40 UTC

what do you mean commercials for yourself? your patreon etc.?

2018-01-19 19:07:51 UTC

yea do a 30 second promo for my own donations instead

2018-01-19 19:09:35 UTC

you could try a hybrid approach, do one ad for yourself on one video, a paid ad for the next, see how things work. If you see enough increase from just doing an ad yourself, then you can cut the paid content. if not, then you can start putting in paid content in place of your own ad

2018-01-19 19:09:57 UTC

Is it a good idea to experient here though?

2018-01-19 19:10:20 UTC

hmm... depends of how it is integrated i guess... but i would combine it i guess...

2018-01-19 19:10:28 UTC

We are talking someine career here. And I have no clue about what the average timcast viewer is like

2018-01-19 19:11:33 UTC

It's best to keep it simple and easy, and not overcomplicate it with any kind of back-and-forth or trying anything fancy.

2018-01-19 19:11:51 UTC

i think the best place to promote your own donations would be after super engaging content like when you were talking about cars on fire in sweden

2018-01-19 19:12:02 UTC

though that's also when sponsors want their spots

2018-01-19 19:12:20 UTC

@GingaBomber i think tim will decide for himself and just wants input...?

2018-01-19 19:12:28 UTC

This aint some radioshow unfortunately

2018-01-19 19:13:02 UTC

Vids may be daily, but are too short for inbetweener commercials

2018-01-19 19:14:05 UTC

And cant be at the end, not everyone finishes the vids.

2018-01-19 19:14:17 UTC

sponsored ads seem to be fine as long as the company has absolutely nothing to do with the content, hard to make that line clear

2018-01-19 19:14:34 UTC

That avatar, hah

2018-01-19 19:14:49 UTC

I watched that video too. lol

2018-01-19 19:14:52 UTC

well, a "self ad" might work at the end...

2018-01-19 19:16:24 UTC

@Timcast start selling beanies and rapping about merch

2018-01-19 19:16:32 UTC

what could go wrong

2018-01-19 19:16:34 UTC

i'd buy a timcast beanie

2018-01-19 19:16:40 UTC

but in general the idea of doing sponsored videos on sundays is not wrong, i would only be concerned about the implementation of it... (self-ads would not bring in "outside money")

2018-01-19 19:16:55 UTC

Sell enough and even the antifa will have trouble finding him

2018-01-19 19:17:21 UTC

I would buy one of those beanies. It fits my style already.

2018-01-19 19:17:30 UTC

they'd just attack everyone wearing a beanie

2018-01-19 19:17:44 UTC

Well then, sponsored vids weekly? Make the vid something unusual and something to look forward to?

2018-01-19 19:17:52 UTC

We could all show up at events so Tim can blend in. <:Kappa:327142715592540171>

2018-01-19 19:17:56 UTC

Not that I dont look forward to the dailyS

2018-01-19 19:21:33 UTC

if he found an engaging partner, a weekly stream could get some $$ too

2018-01-19 19:23:31 UTC

Streaming hearthstone and chill?

2018-01-19 19:24:12 UTC

no FUCK hearthstone, I meant talking about events for the week

2018-01-19 19:24:47 UTC

a recap of sorts?

2018-01-19 19:24:49 UTC

the whole point of his second channel I guess, but for his main one

2018-01-19 19:25:04 UTC

things covered, uncovered, and answering Qs

2018-01-19 19:25:44 UTC

Would like to see things that the MSM refuses to cover. Could be interesting.

2018-01-19 19:25:47 UTC

A good one hour is good enough I guess

2018-01-19 19:26:08 UTC

Go over shit that is not big enough for one vid?

2018-01-19 19:27:10 UTC

it doesnt need structure honestly, but has that conversational tone/interaction with donators
