ok but
a VPN doesn't stop websites from censoring
I never said it would
but then how is that a step forward
Having options made aware means people can consider things in a broader sense
Im not talking about fixing issues here im just saying that alot of tools are out there and people dont know about them
Any awareness of any tool is a step forward for people
and if it helps aleviate the concerns of others hurray
but in most cases VPNs don't actually help you, especially for websites with ads since they use many forms of browser identification
Well I wouldnt know about all that
good paper
ill give it a read ^^
this is smart
"A pair of California lawmakers want to claw back some of steep tax cuts that corporations will receive under the federal tax overhaul signed last month by President Donald Trump."
That could also be read as "A pair of California lawmakers get greedy and make a move that might drive businesses out of California"
it sure could
and they're dumb
For some reason, this reminds me of Seattle raising it's minimum to $15, causing many of the businesses to shut down, leave, or automate.
what makes these types of lawmakers think that businesses who run on razer-thin margins in many industries are able to survive without passing the costs on to their customers
^ this is the result of that type of thinking
Bigger businesses don't get too hurt, since again, they can just leave or automate. Smaller business and smaller/local shops, though, just can't function or keep up.
the problem is those small businesses employ the most people
That's one of the big arguments behind the Fair Tax proposal. Make everything a retail-level sales tax because big companies just pass their tax costs on to their customers anyways.
I sort of agree
but sales tax hurts the poor more than the rich
I don't know if the Fair Tax proposal would actually work, but that's the premise they push
I think property tax would be a better way to go
because housing value typically is lockstep with income and/or wealth
Usually, but not always
Sometimes really wealthy peopele choose not to have a lot of property
oh I agree, some very rich people live meager lives
I'm actually ok with a straight up flat tax on income
or something
I know I would if I had money. lol
if I dind't have a family, I'd probalby live in an RV on the beach
I don't like the idea of living in an RV, but the beach would be nice
lol why not?
have you seen modern rvs
