they don't check that way, they just attribute those symptoms to whatever put the patient in hospital in the first place and move on

my grandma was given haloperidol after breaking her thigh, and she went all loopy from it and weak and dying, and they just attributed it to her alzheimers and age. Yet after we took her off it slowly after the hospital discharged her and she returned to normal for a few years before dying.

point being, they'd just attributed her behaviour and possible death to the existing symptoms if we didn't discover they gave her that at all and ordered the hospital to discontinue giving it to her

and this is from a dutch hospital who essentially perform the same as German ones
