There are virtually no western journalists in the entire country.

First of all it's a meat grinder for anyone near areas of active fighting. Second of all no one wants to let randos cross the border. Getting in is extremely difficult as is not dying.

Which is a shame as it means when stuff like the recent missile strike happens no one has any hope of getting the truth of the matter. You just have to decide which narrative you like best.

I'm still not entirely sure who abby martin is but my experience of joe rogan has been that he's fine until he gets into debates with people he doesn't like or disagree with him.

Then it just gets emotional and he starts tripping up. Basically I kinda figured this would be a disaster from the getgo.

Okay, I'm on like, no sleep at all right now but tl;dr, Tim's being accused(slandered?) by Joe Rogan, a conservative comedian and Abby Martin, a.. socialist(?) 'journalist' so any and all attempts at defending himself is basically going to end up as a shitshow on social media regardless of how he puts it.

Or at least, that's how I'm reading it.

Well they're all a bit more specialised than the sites you listed but. JayzTwoCents, Louis Rossmann and Level1Techs all immediately come to mind.

The last one focuses on tech news more than the first two but the first two definitely either have some serious insight into things. News just isn't their main focus.

I haven't really dug into the site yet but I've been following torrentfreak for years too.

Everything I gave you is primarily based around technology and the like.

Where the focus is more on information than entertainment.

the verge did a story about the first male penis transplant... which is amazing science, I'm totally psyched about stuff like that... but in the comments I made an ... well.. ok unfunny joke... saying "if he masturbates, does that make him gay" ... so they banned me 😛 fair enough i guess

but they dont mess around ... no warning, no removal of the post with a caution .. just straight up immediate ban

There's also uh.. Dave Cullen of Computing Forever (another youtube channel) who I find ends up being insightful when he *does* talk about technology and the like.

Though he's a conservative who usually talks about things relating to politics soooo YMMV.
