You have no idea the kind of shit code that reaches production

2018-05-14 21:21:48 UTC

Yeah it's a bug but what is the algorithm looking at to classify Tims vids with figure family. It could be that it is going though vid tags of his entire channel and putting up the most popular vids based on all of his tags not just that one vid.

'disciplined for "engaging in the same sexual freedoms that men on the campus enjoy"'

well yes, you where young lady. Now you know the price men pay for that "freedom".

most of the time the problem is, you plan all this crap and code based on a direction - then a year later someone from on top says, we're doing this now... and its like, well if we start again from scratch it would be easier but would take ages and cost loads - and they say nah just hack it...

2018-05-15 01:26:23 UTC

and you end up trying to write stuff... its like ... umm... like building a house, but the foundation was for a different house.. so could fall down at any time...

2018-05-15 01:27:21 UTC

pretty much every project Ive ever done... needs a complete re-write within about a year its gone through so many changes in direction

Finally Tim has said something I whole heartedly agree with. If you take a substance, you should still be responsible for your actions

Half the reason people 'fuck up because I was drunk' is because they have the excuse of 'being drunk so it's okay'

2018-05-15 10:09:08 UTC

wow, an article that trashes three protected groups all in one headline

2018-05-15 20:06:22 UTC

Since Tim's at a loss for how to work Subverse on no budget, I'm thinking he should turn the whole thing around. Create and utilize Subverse for crowdsourced journalism. He's said before that the citizen journalist makes the news media outdated, but that there's still a need for actual honest-to-god asking-serious-questions journalism, why not create a network of citizen journalists to collect and distribute informative journalism? To start with, we've apparently already got a network right here. People from different walks, regions, and I count at least 7 different languages among us. (Including Mandarin, which is the most common language in the world)
