Random question: Has anyone heard of the Upjohn Institute? I was reading an opinion piece (which I happened to like part of due to it mentioning college degrees acting more like penalties against those without than boons for those with), and I found it odd that I couldn't find any commentary about the leanings of the think tank online other than being called moderate (I admit this was just a quick check though). https://www.nytimes.com/2018/05/16/opinion/college-useful-cost-jobs.html
Looks like Shaun King is targeting a Texas Highway Patrol member. After we've already had two cases across the nation (one in Virginia, one in South Carolina) where someone claimed extreme racial profiling and verbal abuse over the past couple of weeks (which were dispelled by body cam footage being released showing otherwise), we've got a case in south DFW metro, where someone's claiming that an officer raped them.
Without any evidence, only testimony, Shaun King is releasing names, and citing the story as fact.
Police Officers are getting death threats.
Not just the officers, but their families, because that's how it works, and makes total sense.
