That's never going to happen, the american propaganda machine is way too powerful to allow the narrative to shift to anti-war.

2020-02-13 19:26:10 UTC

GG @KhalidKhroob, you just advanced to level 1!

2020-02-13 19:26:25 UTC

trump has been setting up a pull out

2020-02-13 19:26:32 UTC

You believe that shit?

2020-02-13 19:26:40 UTC

it's not the propaganda machine it's the military industrial complex

2020-02-13 19:26:45 UTC

they cannot profit without war

2020-02-13 19:27:00 UTC

And they cannot wage war without the support of their sheep AKA the american people

2020-02-13 19:27:06 UTC

wrong

2020-02-13 19:27:08 UTC

Trump has plans to pull out of Afghan and other places too

2020-02-13 19:27:08 UTC

right

2020-02-13 19:27:14 UTC

Syria is just the first of places on the list

2020-02-13 19:27:24 UTC

they can wage a war even if not supported by the american people

2020-02-13 19:27:28 UTC

No, trump is 100% supporting netenyahu in his middle east policy

2020-02-13 19:27:29 UTC

look at the vietnam war

2020-02-13 19:27:41 UTC

Vietnam is the example that proves me right though

2020-02-13 19:27:47 UTC

not many supported it

2020-02-13 19:27:52 UTC

but they pushed the war anyways

2020-02-13 19:27:52 UTC

the US had the ability to win militarily but the cost back home was too much

2020-02-13 19:27:59 UTC

nope wasn't that

2020-02-13 19:28:03 UTC

we were being beat

2020-02-13 19:28:08 UTC

Nope

2020-02-13 19:28:10 UTC

we were not prepared for the climate

2020-02-13 19:28:23 UTC

the m16a1 had issues with the buffers not taking the climate well

2020-02-13 19:28:30 UTC

the m14's were beat by ak47's

2020-02-13 19:28:31 UTC

That's just bullcrap buddy, the US was barely using 10% of its power waging war on vietnam.

2020-02-13 19:28:38 UTC

Yeah Khalid is right

2020-02-13 19:28:44 UTC

The US did absolutely dominate the battles

2020-02-13 19:28:51 UTC

They just couldn't continue without support of the people

2020-02-13 19:28:51 UTC

I mean did you see the casualties? Not even close.

2020-02-13 19:29:04 UTC

but we still did not support the war

2020-02-13 19:29:07 UTC

and overall it was bad

2020-02-13 19:29:09 UTC

> the m16a1 had issues with the buffers not taking the climate well
Wrong maintenance was the problem IIRC

2020-02-13 19:29:23 UTC

that was after the buffer issue was resolved

2020-02-13 19:29:44 UTC

We had better equipment, better training(less so for the drafters), better strategies

2020-02-13 19:29:49 UTC

the first versions of the m16 actually had issues with the buffer tubes once the m14 were nearly phased out they went and fixed that issue

2020-02-13 19:30:40 UTC

in some respects I think Vietnam was a win: we prevented the USSR influence

2020-02-13 19:30:46 UTC

It definitely was a military win.

2020-02-13 19:31:05 UTC

technically yes

2020-02-13 19:31:09 UTC

and it was a show of power

2020-02-13 19:31:09 UTC

the US was in a better position overall strategically and logistically speaking, but there was no point for the war to continue, it was obvious viet's didn't want them there and even if they won and managed to occupy vietnam it would cost too much to maintain their presence.

2020-02-13 19:31:24 UTC

And that too, USSR realised America would go to the wall.
