Make it easier for minorities since qualification isnt the skill but the passion for it.
Making it easier means the effort or passion needed isnt as high. Degree value goes down since its so easy to get in.
Part of it is assumed that the normal financial cost is harder to meet for the minority, so it'd be greater time effort to pay off
At the cost of everyone else minority or no that is not under any financial harship having their degrees devalued.
Why cant they take a trade or a factory job instead. Then their kids can go to collage.
That's giving up your potential for the idea of the offspring. A lot of people don't think like that
Or explain that people can suffer as well if those people end up in positions they didnt qualify from.
The degree holder is un prepared, and their work quality will go down. That can kill.
Again, that's thinking too far ahead for some people
Cause more distaste for diversity, like wtf did they hire her, shes so shit.

Well id be pissed if I found out I was passed for promotion for some diversity hire. That would make me more racist than I am now.
I don't mind diversity as a tie breaker, but it shouldn't have any value unless in that final position.
I mean if that person is more qualified then sure.
But I mean like if I was more qualified. Though that is subjective as hell.
Hell mayber diversity is just the safe option reason to be lazier.
There are two main parts for hiring: qualifications and potential fit in the environment. Diversity shouldn't really be related to either.
Well your race shouldnt be an issue if you are good with people. As long as it dosent affect your performance I guess.
