So if twitter is gonna ban dehumanizing speech, does it mean they will clean up the trump feed or ban memes?

2018-09-25 23:52:05 UTC

i mean, apparently context or what you are talking about doesn't matter

2018-09-25 23:52:19 UTC

if you say monkey you can only be talking about black people according to the left

just discovered this guy, he does some really good analyses of symbolism in movies and such

2018-09-26 02:13:42 UTC

this one really hits the nail on the head

2018-09-26 02:14:18 UTC

this one is mostly about how our culture is trying to replace the masculine with the feminine

2018-09-26 02:14:50 UTC

obviously we already know that but he points out a bunch of stuff that i never noticed before

2018-09-26 02:45:30 UTC

I could probably stand to learn about symbolism, as an autodidact I miss stuff like that they'd cover in the humanities

2018-09-26 02:47:52 UTC

this guy is a serious symbologist, def check him out, he has a ton of vids

2018-09-26 03:42:04 UTC

@Timcast this is very interesting research. Might cause revolution in the social sciences. https://t.co/HYRFHjrlvx?amp=1

2018-09-26 03:47:23 UTC

i got @Abel theres nothing of science in social sciences

2018-09-26 03:48:13 UTC

Right now, yeah

2018-09-26 03:48:52 UTC

But according to this book, there's is little to no effect on a person by nurture

2018-09-26 03:49:51 UTC

Plomin in the book says that everything from Intelligence to obesity is determined by your genetics @Deleted User

2018-09-26 03:50:00 UTC

2018-09-26 03:50:06 UTC

2018-09-26 03:50:41 UTC

If the book is right, literally everything in social sciences is out of the window

2018-09-26 03:51:23 UTC

i get it that dna delineates where are the oulayers

2018-09-26 03:51:39 UTC

but also nurture is key in a person for reaching those limits

2018-09-26 03:52:44 UTC

a really smart guy could be a dummy his entire life because he did not was taught how to enjoy learning and studying

2018-09-26 03:53:43 UTC

2018-09-26 03:56:49 UTC

The nature versus nature debate had raged for a hundred years and will likely rage a hundred more. This book is being oversold (like most research). It's not as definite as it looks and it's hardly a definitive argument.

There's also an element of how a lot of what people think of as being important traits can be in some way manipulated by circumstance.

2018-09-26 04:57:03 UTC

So uh, the first sentence of his Wikipedia page is updated.

2018-09-26 04:58:06 UTC

2018-09-26 06:57:50 UTC

that Cosby actually hates pudding

2018-09-26 07:35:06 UTC

@Abel I could see some socjus people agreeing with that study because it helps show that homosexuality "isn't some condition that can be treated." On the other, it goes against the Constructivism that they love
