Star Trek is an Atheist fantasy.

Like, legit, it's their view of what they would consider to be the "perfect" society.

@Little Boots no really. After Roddenberry died any attacks on religion directly disappeared. Few characters were actually religious but they became a lot on accepting after he died. Only for the first 3 years of TNG did any real anti-religion stuff appear.

Still, that anti-religious/Atheistic ideal is a part of the central core of Star Trek, since it is that utopian society that Roddenberry had dreamt up.

at that point there's supposed to be no reason to hate those who are religious in general so there's peace.

I generally like Trek because to has an optimistic view of the future while most shows these day's don't

prophets and pahwraiths, dukat was a personal fav ST character :3

I mean, I like the series as well, but I see it as an absurd universe.
