Rambo was good for what it is. An action movie where a dude kills a bunch of other dudes.
The story was a little weak in this Rambo versus the previous movie, but it was still enjoyable.

THERE IS NO UN ARMY. All UN peacekeepers are soldiers on loan from member nations. US, UK, Germany, France, Russia, China, Japan, Korea, Spain, Canada, Australia, wherever. They CANNOT deploy to fight a war or to any country that does not consent. They do not carry offensive weapons (such as sniper rifles). They must be neutral to whatever conflict area they are sent to, and major hostilities must have ceased. They DO NOT FIGHT WARS as part of a peacekeeping mission. When it's over, they return to their unit at home. They also do not enforce laws. An example of when they would be used is suppose Iran and Iraq went to war over a territorial dispute; the governments decide it's time to work things out. They will REQUEST a peacekeeping mission that will come and patrol the disputed territories, think of it as you and your neighbor got in a fight, and now I'm standing in between you. They will also protect civilians, investigators (for war crimes etc), diplomats, negotiators etc. They facilitate a discussion between Iraq and Iran to work out who gets what land, war reparations, etc. They have been targets of terrorist attacks though (French in Mali, Chinese in South Sudan).
Now the problem comes in that the contributing nation is paid about $1,200 per soldier, per month, by the UN Security Council. This doesn't go to the soldier; it goes to the government that loans him. Here is the top 5 contributing nations as of today, and the approximate revenue generated. These numbers are actual count of soldiers on peacekeeping missions right now.
Ethiopia = 8,326 = $9.9 million
India = 7,471 = $8.9 million
Pakistan = 7,161 = $8.5 million
Bangladesh = 6,772 = $8.1 million
Rwanda = 6,146 = $7.3 million
Further down the list comes Nepal, Senegal, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Egypt, Indonesia, China, Tanzania, Nigeria, Niger, Togo, Morocco, Chad, Uruguay, South Africa, Brazil, Kenya, Benin, Cameroon, and Italy. Of that list, the only two that aren't overwhelmingly infested with AIDS, poverty, and violence are China and Italy, and both have much higher GDPs that the UN payment couldn't put a dent in.
Most African troops aren't issued remotely adequate equipment like we are in the US. Such as body armor and helmets. US soldiers are paid around $2,000 a month plus housing and benefits. Canada a bit more, Europeans a bit less. Russians a bit more than half that. China and South Korea pay junior enlisted less than $100 a month, and both of them are infinitely more wealthy than all of Africa combined. So it's easy to imagine what the motivation is here. Combine that with the fact that a certain demographic just cannot behave themselves anywhere in the world under any circumstances, so you end up with rape and shit like that.
