oof
Somehow I don't think its a bad decision...
i think it is. nobody should care, yet alone force someone by law.
well
after seeing women>male trans gay couple having one of them revert for a while back to woman so she can give birth...
i dont see them as sane and i believe they're not fit to have children
though honestly i believe trans should be marked as former gender x on their id
if they want to change their id 😛
or birth gender
so mentally ill people are not allowed to have children?
then i would sterilize every mentally ill person.
trans, gay, religious, drugusers, alcoholics, gamers ...
good suggestion 😉
Not in america. Freedom of religion, for good or ill.
I would at least reclassify it as a mental disorder though, provided the research supported it.
ill ? no, but given how often those people are aggressive and try to force their ideals on other people i feel they're not fit to be parents.
Until they start acting like civilized people i definitely won't support them having children. Theres enough idiots raising kids already, no need to add to that pool
I used to be pro gay marriage, child adoption etc.. but they went over the line long ago and only proved ridiculous conservative fears
"Japan's Supreme Court rules trans people have to get sterilised"
so they support trans rights and are making them get a sex change surgery? See, this is how you compromise
```so mentally ill people are not allowed to have children?```
Trans is a special kind of mental illness...
And it isn't treated right, thanks to the glorification of the left...
What japan did is debatable
Logically it makes sense
Morally i bet some.people would say its wrong to.do.that
I’m very uncomfortable with forced sterilization regardless of the circumstances
If somebody is so detestable or mentally ill where they shouldn’t be having babies they should either be in jail or in a mental institution
Let me say it that way: in 20 years you'll say that the Japanese were right on this issue.
because they thought logically, not emotionally.
see <#509549100061163520>
There are so few trans people in Japan and probably even fewer that want to have babies I doubt it will make a difference either way
No, but here we have a ton of those.
and they might have children.
and of those children you will hear in 20 years.
never expected japan of all places to be anti-futanari
I fear that like 50% of them might be abused, maybe even more. And I mean that also in a sexual way.
this ruling isint likely to stand very long to be honest
that’s just speculation without any actual proof, they said the same thing about the infamous “crack babies” of the 80s and 90s
I don’t really see a reason why gay or transgender parents are any more or less likely to molest their kids than straight parents
In both cases of kids being molested by the parents the incidence rate is incredibly low, “punishment” of trans parents through forced sterilization is essentially punishment of a large population of innocent parents
i think this is an interesting case because what we are calling forced is more of a matter of qualification. the japanese government does not force anything on anyone in this case but will not lable you the gender you want to have in their official language unless you meet criteria which with modern technology requires you to give up your reproductive capabilitys perminantly because they are basing your gender purely on your apparent sexual characteristics not even your technical sexual characteristics.
this means if your comfertible with the law making a distinction between your gender and what you appear as then theres no problem (except maybe socially as the law often effects social perception) while on the other hand if you want to have a different gender you have to meet the nations standards for what a gender is, and that standard doesent have to be based on chromisomes but does require the most alteration to your sexual characteristics as you physically can
