cant remember his first name, but it was like John or James, criminal thriller writer

2018-01-10 08:21:36 UTC

Was a doctor so most of his writings were based on conspiracies around the US medical system

2018-01-10 08:21:37 UTC

I tihnk it was james Cook

The population as a whole shouldn't matter, since a bigger population would -in theory- give a proportionate amount in taxes. The issue here is people on welfare/jobless, and illegals who avoid paying taxes.

2018-01-10 08:21:47 UTC

I mean I remember enjoying his books.

2018-01-10 08:22:03 UTC

People who avoid taxes yet still benefit from the system.

2018-01-10 08:23:00 UTC

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if the number was higher in the US than in other countries, but that's a failure in enforcing tax codes and from deductions/subsidies.

2018-01-10 08:23:04 UTC

if anything the US should go to a One-Tax system where the only tax is sales tax on non-consumables

2018-01-10 08:23:13 UTC

then there is no way to avoid taxes

2018-01-10 08:23:43 UTC

and I mean tax non-food items

2018-01-10 08:24:03 UTC

I mean, I didnt want to buy into the hysterian, like when everythings so shit, that you have the delusion that anythign could be better.

2018-01-10 08:24:03 UTC

you have to tax everything, or else you loose more than you gain

2018-01-10 08:24:05 UTC

Well, there's also the fact that the US can most definitely be spending it's tax dollars better, no argument here.

2018-01-10 08:24:16 UTC

We have over 800 military bases around the world, for example.

2018-01-10 08:24:22 UTC

We don't need that many.

2018-01-10 08:24:24 UTC

And well, that there are alot of inefficiencies in the system

2018-01-10 08:24:41 UTC

how many times does your money get taxed?

2018-01-10 08:24:45 UTC

The wall is one such solution

2018-01-10 08:24:53 UTC

Several.

2018-01-10 08:24:56 UTC

I am pro-wall

2018-01-10 08:25:15 UTC

Taxes are taken out on income, and every time you buy/sell an item.

2018-01-10 08:25:17 UTC

Well, being here makes you altright lol

2018-01-10 08:25:19 UTC

why tax a dollar several times? instead charge it once and be done

2018-01-10 08:25:25 UTC

here, we pay 13 cents on every dollar spent, and we have income tax taken off that we get back later

2018-01-10 08:25:44 UTC

I heard that you pay an amount and they decide to tell you later whether or not you paid enough

2018-01-10 08:25:47 UTC

in the Us

2018-01-10 08:25:48 UTC

but we have taxes on everything except for fresh food items

2018-01-10 08:25:50 UTC

is it that bad?

2018-01-10 08:26:15 UTC
2018-01-10 08:26:34 UTC

you don't get charged taxes for fresh fruits, veggies, meats, and other basics

2018-01-10 08:26:47 UTC

I'm really not too familiar with our tax system, myself. Sometimes you overpay and get more money back, sometimes you get a phone call from the IRS telling you that you owe them 5000 dollars.

2018-01-10 08:26:56 UTC

in the US it depends on the state

2018-01-10 08:27:06 UTC

State plays a part, yeah.

2018-01-10 08:27:18 UTC

So different tax brackets per state?

2018-01-10 08:27:27 UTC

I assumed the US had the same in every state?

2018-01-10 08:27:33 UTC

abd if you don't pay enough they send you to jail till you pay it off

2018-01-10 08:27:39 UTC

Like with that new tax plan.

2018-01-10 08:27:53 UTC

Like, food items altogether are not taxed in California, whereas in Georgia only *fresh* food items are not taxes, if I remember correctly. Even if I am not, it's along those lines.

2018-01-10 08:27:56 UTC

I assumed it will be implemented in every state

2018-01-10 08:27:57 UTC

there is a federal tax nation wide then there is a state level then a city level

2018-01-10 08:28:02 UTC

Ah I see
