Officials in California rejected the theory that their rising STDs are a result of hook up culture and not using condoms. They’ve decided it’s racism, and have a program teaching children to treat dicks like a game of hot potato.

It's kind of a meta thing.

It's not that the advertisement is an advertisement, that they're trying to sell a product, it's that they missed an opportunity at accuracy for a grandiose angle.

It's that one word swap that gets me. Using the word Why where the word How would be more accurate to their product.

or how about the fact they made knowingly giving a partner an STD no longer a crime?

also how tf is it racism?!

people choosing to have sex with other people is racism?!

Did they make it no longer a crime

or no longer a felony?

might have been no longer a felony

in their attempt to lower crime by not having anything be illegal

so now instead of these people being in jail, they get a fine and are allowed to go spread STDs intentionally all day long

Its a misdemenor now

So its still a crime, just not so serious

i'm sorry but knowingly endangering someones life is felony assault and battery

It's basically equal to acid attacks.

I'd rather die in the street after 10 minutes of suffering than live as an acid attack victim.

well, i guess depends on the STD. Something easily treated with antibiotics and goes away probably shouldn't be a felony.

but the ones that require treatment for life?

how is that not a felony?

How is the cost of that treatment not 100% attributed to the person that caused it?

thats still not a felony, its just they have to pay for treatment

but if i hit someone so hard with no reason that it caused them to have to permanently change their life style for medical reasons, yeah, i'm going to jail.

I wouldn't make a distiction between the different STDs. You don't know what effect it's going to have in the specific person.

@angeryer if i punch someone, the difference between a simple battery charge and felony battery charge could depend on where they hit their head

so i would make a distinction on the results
