Pretty much a mid year election. Not as big as the current election cycle.

Still has its uses and is still rather important.

i only started getting into politics like a year ago and i still don't really know anything about regular practices of the U.S. government.

Or the difference between EC and Popular vote?

Presidents are every 4 years

Midterm elections are important becuase they usually reflect how the public feels about the president's party

most of the time the presidents party loses some seats as people are pissed at him for one reason or another
