@Logrian because, for instance, if you look at tapes of the moon landing, there is dust thrown up. The rate it's falling down fits the gravitational pull of the moon. Also we placed mirrors there, with them we measure the distance between the earth and the moon. Also yes, this is in your eyes all indoctrinated stuff

Spacecrafts that re-enter the atmosphere on purpose have heatshields. On their way up the do also have heat protection but the don't need as much because the velocity is much lower
