A big problem is when our choice to send someone truly responsible into the swamp to work for us and not themselves or the Deep State. THAT is what I face... I either vote for a Socialist Dem or a Deep State CLOWN posing as a Repub and not other choice. THAT is not "lesser of two evils" they are both evil, so no choice.
As for the U.S - Federal - Senators would be "appointed" as ambassadors to DC by the state single chamber Representative body and can be recalled at any time they do not represent the state's interest. Basically, the people whould get their Reps to recally some bad-actor Senator
My bottom lin with unicameral is basically the - searching for a term - busting up the two party choice - Repub or Dem. People whould have choice of several entries and the one that receives the most votes for your small district wins.
That is for state. The state group of those Reps would be responsible to the state's Senators to DC. As for Reps - forHouse of Reps, the same thing - several entries and not just Repub or Dem.
I don't know what the answer is. I only know reading about Nebraska's unicameral system without a Senate seems simpler and less "party-bound" electing your Representative to the state legislature

@Groot My Representative - Tom Garrett - 5th dist VA. had death threats to his family and he and his wife had a new baby and they were both recovering alchaholics, so the threats and stress and who knows what else, forced Tom to throw in the towel. But, if Deep State wanted to plant "their CLOWN" into the 5th dist, then who knows what they did to get Tom to quit - after primary season - thus we didn't vote for Denver Riggleman in a proimary - he was appointed candidate by the Repub committee...
Well, he resigned after he said he would run for re-election and quit after primary season was over, so the candidate was picked not select-elected from a group of Repub candidates

Down South I first got acquainted with "Chickory" which they roast the roots and tastes like coffee - there was a coffee brand in Tidewater that was actually part coffee and part Chickory for the hard-core nostalgic Southerners

I had to fill out an "official form" from the court system today - failure to do so would get me haul;ed to court for not doing it. It's to qualify me for "jury duty" I noted on the form - good luck with that" Cuz, I'm wheelchair bound and pretty much house-bound as well...
