Aight genuine question, how do you people explain objects descending into the horizon when you move away from them?
Would you mind elaborating a bit
Im no scientist
Wait hold up
That artist rendering on the ice wall
Has a curved earth
Im uhh
Befuddled here
Would said artist be implying that the earth has some level of curvature, even if it may not be spherical?
Thats a good point tbh, stuff like this isnt too hard to whip up in 3ds max
I dont know if discord has that functionality but you can stop new members from speaking for a set period of time when they first join
Unless you make a bot,
Wait wot
I just said the discord api is a pain jn the ---
Ah mb
No its for making bots
Like the bot that censored me here
They likely either use the c++ discord api or the i believe javascript version
Ive used the c++ version
Its the worst version of the api tbh
Oof mb, i mean C#. The languages are basically interchangeable
I might have missed that post @Citizen Z
I just scrolled up to it
Aight ill give that a watch quick
Aight i just watched the video
I cant say I fully grasped what was being presented to me, but it is a fascinating perspective nonetheless
Out of curiosity, can this angular perspective thing be used to explain visible curvature when at a high altitude
Or is there another piece im missing regarding that
Interesting
Apologies if I find that notion a bit harder to believe, I was atop Blue Mountain in Ontario, and its not a particularily tall mountain and the curve was noticable.
Maybe im just misunderstanding something though.
Ive never been in a plane tbh
Aha
Ive seen a spam war on a decent sized discord before
Because the admin forgot to restrict atting everyone
It was absolute chaos
Ok so, another question I have is regarding the old 2 sticks in the ground test. Id imagine you guys know what im talking about, where the sticks have different length shadows when they are several meters apart.
What is actually affecting the measurement of the shadow
Ah. So it seems that test is effectively irrelevant in both models
Lol
No idea tbh. Thats why I was asking
Mega oof
