The correct way to handle a pandemic is locking **everything** down as soon as it's identified for however long it takes to get over it. When I say everything, I mean you can't leave the house at all kind of lockdown and if you do, there'll be a soldier with a rifle telling you to go back in

Hey jokers that meme about the vaccine - it's not out yet, it's still in phase 3 trials. Given the pressure of getting it done quickly, that last phase with real-life, extended trials won't last for more than a year if I had to guess, which is why perfection cannot be guaranteed. I strongly suggest reading up on how vaccines are made before undermining their effectiveness.

Vaccines aren't hard to understand - you get a weak/dead virus so your body recognizes it and remembers how to fight it

so yes, you do technically "get it" either way, the difference being that you do not get sick from a vaccine and you are not contagious after it's been administered and the immune system knows it
