More concerned with numbers and a physical structure.
The more numbers = the more knowledge and experience we have to pull from for teaching methods and the like.
But I'm certainly open to shooting the shit so to speak
I just don't want the idea to get bogged down in people sperging out over curriculum when we live however far apart, have no physical space/structure, etc.
"if you build it they will come" sort of thing
No.
I'll look into it.
I'm new. You're the first person I've had a chance to unload my thoughts on the matter on
where can i find the skills server? I'm very new to discord as well?
@lonewolf19d @Attrition in the desert It's CHEAP too
We're individualistic but not so much at the expense of others. We take pride in lifting one another up and seeing them do their best. The two, individual and collective, have gone hand-in-hand in our culture.
That's my though wrt to institutions. My idea is enough folks willing to contribute time, money, sweat to teaching the next generation. This broad idea is very important to get behind. Teaching and sharing knowledge and values with our kids and literally building physical structures.
A 'schoolhouse' idea can be implemented in rural, suburban and even urban environments.
A weightroom/gym is also a great way to get together. The idea is land, space. Shit, you can build a little spot and fill it with weights and that's how you could start.
Pipedream=commune/wn community. It's what I want but how many people can you reliably get committed to that?
You can build a schoolhouse and still be engaged in today's society. Still work your desk job. Etc...
If you can great. It's definitely doable. I'm aiming for a bigger tent.
But the schoolhouse could be a gateway to an intentional community. Ideally, I'd want to get enough acreage to allow for all sorts of expansion. More structures, growing of food, cattle, even housing; see, my hearts in a community. I want the initial bar to entry to be lower, though. Schoolhouse seems to fit that bill for me.
Even if its not your kids, presently or if you presently have none, you can contribute
It could snowball very very quickly to a MUCH larger number
agreed
that's why the schoolhouse is the best approach.
Again, strength in numbers. Low bar to entry. But meaningful and lasting impact
Don't mean to lecture, I just haven't been able to flesh out these ideas until now. New to IE
Thanks! I really appreciate it. Just had my thinking cap on for awhile.
Yeah. Spent some time living in a very back-to-the-land, homesteadified area in the midwest for a couple years. Started with some farm work and then stayed. It's a common theme, but I experienced a from of hyper white flight. Liberal urbanites fled the city and build small homesteads, small businesses, etc. in a small, low-cost living town. They also poz it up. More and more so over time. I got red-pilled there, but wanted some variation of that lifestyle.
Eventually, as my desire for family and community developed, and then my awareness of how my kids would then be therefore taught and raised I started to think how I can achieve some balance.
Schools. These white-flighter anti-racists often enroll or start up Waldorf schools. I figured, traditionalists should do just that.
This area had some money and support from Big Organic in terms of jobs and creating an environment. But the area has grown wuickly since the 90's and seems to quickly asserting itself over the local normie republican population.
Won't reveal the exact location to avoid doxxing but maybe in the future I will. Seems relatively safe to do so here
So I'm new to IE, discord, this thread, and wanted to talk to people about community building. Specifically, home schooling. and more specifically, group-funding to build a physical schoolhouse. It's an idea I want to pursue for myself and spread. I've a rationale for why I settled on this a great option, maybe the best, for community building for already families, couples looing to start, singles, etc. Would love to talk, share, and exchange ideas!
Physical space, a physical communal structure, is huge. It doesn't have to, and shouldn't, be explicitly wn. It should be centered around European tradition, history, heritage, math, science, literature; the curriculum is, though important, is secondary. It's doubtful early members will have either no kids presently or kids of much different ages. Maybe it's not for your kids immediately, maybe it is, maybe your kids' kids. I want to get some more input though. I think this can work in all sorts of environments, whether you're in a more urban, suburban, rural setting. I don't want people getting discouraged thinking they have to start a commune in order build community. The ideal goal is a physical schoolhouse, the intermediary is working and socializing locally with good folks...somewhat 'radical' but a low bar to entry.
If you get, say six people/families in a suburban, rural, or even urban setting, to agree on a location with some acreage they're all able to commute to and can afford, to pitch in some form whether in cash or sweat equity, it can be done. The more the better, in terms of both those involved and contributing and acreage. Longer term, it would be great to be able to expand the usage of the land. Ideally, again more long term, you;d want a way to make use of the land in a profitable way.
Will do. Hopefully more will see this and chime in and run with it. I might draw up a structure to share sometime soon. I'm no architect but I've got a basic workbook I bought and studied a couple years ago.
I don't really have one. That's not my immediate concern and it's something I'd want some discussion about.
I don't think it would be either
hence me pushing it off
Yeah, HS is the LEAST of my concern
Through late elementary and middle school
And the curation of history
proper curation and prioritization
you too
@Myndrian (late to the discussion) Agreed. We have to act implicitly and emphasize European identity when possible.
What book is this?
No. Definitely not. Don't think it's Taylor (White Identity, the next book). Maybe u just haven't gotten to this part...
@Nemets What made you pick up this book in particular? I'm trying to dig into European history on the whole but it's hard to know what's worth reading and what's not.
@Nemets Yikes. Guess so. What do you think of the book so far?
How is it written? Is it tough to read, meaning, maybe a little dry?
Ok with academic, that can be written in a way to keep you reading imo.
I'm very inexperienced with Russia, does it get into what it means to be Russian wrt ethnicity?
I don't know if ethnic conflict was later, obviously soviet era
was a big deal
oh, ok.
I've always been curious about the history of the various groups that fell under Russian influence
how those groups formed, how they interacted with Russian influence and power, etc.
Ryurik?
Viking?
Ok. Ivan was the first Czar, so he was of Viking decent? I though Ivan was the beginning of a new era in Russian rule and culture...?
I've got some learning to do.
That's my very elementary understanding. I was just under the impression Ivan was the beginning and not the end of an era
he was both...?
can you calrify?
oh
probably a lot to clarify, haha
don't mean to ask for a history lesson haha
Good introduction for sure. Let me know what you think of the book. Saw a cheap version (used) on amazon, how much did you pay? And how did you stumble on or rather settle on this book? Via interweb wormhole?
found a cheap used paperback. let me know how you like it. i'll probably pick it up regardless.
I don't know much at all really. Very basic fun fact level.
So yeah, if you can recall or find the book and let me know, that'd be great.
Gonna buy it in a batch of books soon here probably. Hopefully @Tron can remember what book he's talking about so I can get that too.
Were you genuinely interested in coding/CS before you got started on this path or was it more pragmatism that took you this direction? For me it'd be more pragmatism. I feel like I could do it, it's just not a passion of mine.
@ThisIsChris for you, but I'd love to hear what you have to say @NuclearReactionary
@ThisIsChris I've only taken a couple of introductory courses when I was younger. So I only have a very basic understanding of what goes into coding. Just made a basic website once really. It was actually kind of fun. I've the means to go back to school, eventually, it's just a matter of when at this point really. And for what.
Funniest part of the book imo
How do I become part of a chapter and is it even necessary for me given my location?
Are there any types of addresses you think would be unwise to send IE material to (I'm purchasing books)? Could I maybe ask you privately to be more clear?
International Jew is a good one. Henry Ford, the author (most likely didn't write all of it) dedicates a good chunk of time to it. I'd suggest that over the Protocols. It was written in the immediate aftermath of WWI.

I think you should be aware of your means and what sort of lifestyle and community you can lead and cultivate in an urban environment. If you have the means to live a pro-natal and healthy lifestyle in an urban environment, more power to you.
@ExternalPepsi That seems to be the case. I'm new, don't know anything about the behind the scenes drama
I don't fully understand it really but I can't ignore patterns and trends, despite the influence he's had on the movement.
No denying Spencer was pivotal in spreading these ideas in a very persuasive and effective way but, like what I hear from Patrick and others, he's to be avoided, at least personally.
@Papa Pizzagate Like I said, it's a running trend and pattern
from more than just IE
It's a Sunday, so hopefully you don't usually work those days anyway.
yes
good, just eatin' lunch
@apronandlace it's at the tail end of the intro to white identity
