(note how men's issues is not included in the higher value list)

2019-01-03 06:24:08 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

"most"

2019-01-03 06:25:02 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

Ding ding ding

2019-01-03 06:26:09 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

Aye, it is

2019-01-03 06:26:39 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

chapo?

2019-01-03 06:26:54 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

And no, it has nothing to do with any affiliation to any group

2019-01-03 06:30:13 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

That is the worst interpretation I have ever seen \

2019-01-03 06:30:28 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

it doesn't assume anything like that

2019-01-03 06:31:43 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

Feminism started off as working at one issue, and has grown from there.

2019-01-03 06:31:57 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

great, the MRM is here, to work ALONGSIDE feminism

2019-01-03 06:32:03 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

that would be a help

2019-01-03 06:32:22 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

But no, the two movements clash against each other non-stop

2019-01-03 06:32:43 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

At this point, a feminist has just said the same thing

2019-01-03 06:33:17 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

yet

2019-01-03 06:58:35 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

Patriarchy is not about catering to men. I have never said that.

2019-01-03 06:58:53 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

Patriarchy hurts men too: Ever heard that little rallying cry>

2019-01-03 07:02:04 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

How does it cease to be a patriarchy?

2019-01-03 07:08:01 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

Do you know what the word "most" means?

2019-01-03 07:08:16 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

it is not a binary, i tell you that

2019-01-03 07:09:15 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

Statistics

2019-01-03 07:09:53 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

Save it mate, I have heard it thousands of times

2019-01-03 07:10:09 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

like 3 in 4 homeless being men

2019-01-03 07:10:16 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

and 9 in 10 roofless

2019-01-03 07:11:20 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

how so?

2019-01-03 07:11:51 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

both things the GFW does not deny

2019-01-03 07:13:02 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

Higher power comes with higher cost

2019-01-03 07:14:35 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

no it is not

2019-01-03 07:17:01 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

You quoted individuals

2019-01-03 07:17:19 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

So they are

2019-01-03 07:17:23 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

funny that

2019-01-03 07:17:28 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

Are they?

2019-01-03 07:17:39 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

Oh, so they are credible then?

2019-01-03 07:17:46 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

If Wikipedia the Wise says so

2019-01-03 07:18:30 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

And I don't really give a flying fuck now do I

2019-01-03 07:18:41 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

Good for them

2019-01-03 07:18:53 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

Again, I don't care

2019-01-03 07:20:38 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

Yes, because all of feminism worships those specific three people that I think have not been heard of by the majority of feminists

2019-01-03 07:22:13 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

That is a vast oversimplification

2019-01-03 07:22:58 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

๐Ÿ™„

2019-01-03 07:23:14 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

Tell me, what do you think of Warren Farrell?

2019-01-03 07:24:42 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

What?

2019-01-03 07:24:45 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

No

2019-01-03 07:24:53 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

Tell me what you think of Warren Farrell

2019-01-03 07:26:00 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

I want to know your opinion about him

2019-01-03 07:28:05 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

โ€œEvenings of paying to be rejected can feel like a male version of date rape.โ€.Ignoring that there is a male version of date rape called date rape, which is already misandrist and screwed up, thatโ€™s a direct equivalence. It feels nothing, at all, like date rape.

2019-01-03 07:29:04 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

Farrell is the MRA equivalent of most mainstream feminists

2019-01-03 07:31:28 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

I have never met a feminist who has made anyone an oppressor class

2019-01-03 07:32:26 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

I did not say that "most feminists don't talk in terms of patriarchy"

2019-01-03 07:35:09 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

Oppression by the system. Not oppression through the system

2019-01-03 07:36:03 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

and you know what I just realised?

2019-01-03 07:36:19 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

I have been argued into defending patriarchy theory

2019-01-03 07:41:24 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

not really, i was using the Geek Feminism Wiki definition

2019-01-03 07:42:39 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

@Indigo yes, the most prominent feminist wiki lists ideas opposed to almost every feminist thinker

2019-01-03 07:42:43 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

riiiight

2019-01-03 07:43:40 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

Because of course that is what *you* would get out of it

2019-01-03 07:45:33 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

"the system of gender-based hierarchy in society which assigns most power to men, and assigns higher value to men, maleness, and "masculine traits"

2019-01-03 07:45:52 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

verbatim

2019-01-03 07:47:44 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

(which I disagree with)

2019-01-03 07:48:34 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

It is not my definition

2019-01-03 07:48:38 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

I never claimed it was

2019-01-03 07:51:21 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

Now if you would kindly all shut up for a minute or two

2019-01-03 07:51:30 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

I would like to write up what I think

2019-01-03 07:51:46 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

"Well now we get to stop guessing at what Sick was trying to say and hear him say it ๐Ÿ˜‰"

2019-01-03 07:52:54 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

Farrell was successful for quite some time

2019-01-03 07:53:10 UTC [Men's Human Rights #debate]

And Pizzey was always hostile to feminists

righty ho. So on the topic of Patriarchy theory, here is what I think.
Patriarchy theory is a concept that has existed for millenia. In terms of feminism, it has long been popular (for at least 100 years). Back then, patriarchy theory was very valid.
Women have only been able to vote for ~100 years in most places. The first country to legalise it (New Zealand) just celebrated it's 125th anniversary late last year, and that was well before most other countries.
Problem is, Patriarchy theory has stuck around without much review for a bit too long. It has lost it's strength.

2019-01-03 08:05:00 UTC [Men's Human Rights #lounge]

Goodnight folks

I used voting as an example

No, but it was very close to it

women were to oppression as google is to search engines

If you say so

Asides from a mascot, here are some concepts I drew up a while ago:

2019-01-05 19:06:06 UTC [Men's Human Rights #memes]

Four legs good, two legs bad

2019-01-12 19:43:37 UTC [Men's Human Rights #lounge]

Well, discord is dead

2019-01-12 19:44:19 UTC [Men's Human Rights #lounge]

Discord's connection servers are offline RN

2019-01-12 19:44:29 UTC [Men's Human Rights #lounge]

don't close discord or you will not be able to rejoin

That entire thread is a cesspit on all sides.

I found myself disagreeing with literally everyone there.

Are you trying to tell me how I think?

Because I really don't think that is the right way to gain approval

ME: I found myself disagreeing with literally everyone there.

YOU: Nah, just the feminist side.

Sounds suspicious

Are we going to have a repeat of the BlueOrange incident?

It seems like that is impossible unfortunately

In my opinion, u/Mikkelangelo13 is doing far more harm to the MRM than good. Trolling anyone is no way to gain trust for a movement.

2019-01-28 04:24:37 UTC [Men's Human Rights #lounge]

To be fair, Mush, toxic masculinity does in fact hurt men. That is kind of the point of the whole concept.

Ooh, new zealand

2019-01-28 04:25:38 UTC [Men's Human Rights #lounge]

Hello GG. Good to see you too

2019-01-28 04:26:17 UTC [Men's Human Rights #lounge]

I wholly disagree GG

2019-01-28 04:26:32 UTC [Men's Human Rights #lounge]

Let's drop all discussions of feminists RN

2019-01-28 04:26:39 UTC [Men's Human Rights #lounge]

we are talking about toxic masculinity

2019-01-28 04:26:59 UTC [Men's Human Rights #lounge]

Ah, insults and "hurr durr troll"

2019-01-28 04:27:17 UTC [Men's Human Rights #lounge]

No wonder I stayed off here during my holiday

2019-01-28 04:27:45 UTC [Men's Human Rights #lounge]

And of course, disagreeing is disruption. Groupthink is good.

2019-01-28 04:28:28 UTC [Men's Human Rights #lounge]

nah, you

2019-01-28 04:28:38 UTC [Men's Human Rights #lounge]
