it's real good for what you pay for

10W TX, covers the 70cm and 2m bands, and broadcast FM

although it can do with a better antenna I've been told

would not have a clue if it's made by Sainsonic

only problem I have with mine is I can't figure out how to program it, and it doesn't seem to like setting the offset so I can use a repeater

other than that, it's fantastic

yeah, 144-148MHz, don't really touch 70cm

70cm is the 420-450MHz band

depending on licence here, you get 10W or 100W Tx

with a bit more than 10W, you can talk to the ISS on the 2m band

bought one of those Rotrig knockoff mechanical pencils, Redcircle 600
looks nice, feels nice but *constantly* breaks leads, and I can't remember when I've broken a lead in my $3 pentel sharplet

don't think so, used the leads in it that I normally use, but I'll give it another go just in case

The pentel one I have is the cheapest one I could find, and so far it's the best I've used
Just isn't as pretty as the standard mechanical pencil, which I can't remember the name of right now, but works just as well (Staedtler Mars)
