I'm burned out on OW, but I still like HotS

they're doing a cross-promotional thing where you get a bunch of unlocks in both games for playing HotS

aceedex and I play sometimes, wanted to extend the invitation if anyone else wanted to check it out when the event goes live

I'm very fond of hots because

it's a moba that discards a lot of the stuff that I hate about mobas

and focuses on fights and objectives

because there's no item shops, no gold, no last hits, and your team gains exp together

matches that go 10~20 minutes

not 40 minutes to 2 fucking hours

weirdly when a match goes 25 minutes though, you REALLY start feeling fatigue, like, "holy shit how is this still going"

because we got stuck in with a multi-party of overleveled fucks running an already-easy EQ on easy difficulty

challenge mode scales slightly to party size

but

it's generally MUCH easier with a party of 4, or a full multi-party

strictly because you get more drops spread amongst more people

but you also have the problem of shitters dragging you down even more than usual

because every death detracts

don't worry, I'm not great either

the thing I really like about CM

is that it's such a pure, hardcore PSO2 experience

blocking and evading matter because healing is so scarce

so you actually have to learn how to fight all the different enemies, and see what they do

since they don't just melt in one hit

I feel like, were you to master CM, you'd master the game

I definitely improved my play a lot after doing CM a few times

I just spend money willy-nilly

I am a bad gunner

Gunner is not the class for me

too combo-dependent, movement is awkward, PAs are awkward

reliant on lock-on, which is already bad, without relying on it for 90% of your DPS

and landing all the hits

because your lock-on WILL shit out

and lock onto something fucking stupid

like a leg or a tail

instead of the head

also

imagine trying to do that whole song and dance AFTER applying weak bullet yourself

so you have a time limit on WB, a time limit on chain attack, and you can't get hit or you'll lose all your gear and do shit damage

if you flub any one of them, you're waiting on the chain trigger cooldown for 120 seconds

that's why I hate gunner
