I do know America protects the opium fields in Afghanistan so that heroin will pour into Russia.

I think some of that opium pours into Pakistan too.

Portugal decriminalized all drugs and they saw reduction in usage and overdose.

As backwards as it sounds, legalizing it may be a good option to reduce usage.

I am against drug usage. I don't even drink alcohol, but I want to see people using drugs far less. It legitimately breaks my heart to see the USA, Russia, and Afghanistan struggling with an opioid problem.

So maybe, just maybe, decriminalizing it may work.
