in its perfect apathy, it creates people who, if it weren't for some uncontrollable circumstances, might have been able to live a normal life and seek conventional happiness

but they cannot

I therefore strive to treat such unfortunate people no differently from someone normal; no better, no worse. The truly sad thing is how much they appreciate it.

I wish the world was a kinder and more charitable place, for their sake.
