Our own people could get them, for one.
i believe in the nap... i believe a 20 minute nap around 3pm does a person wonders
They're also absolutely delicious.
I hate weed as well. All it does is normalize that shit.
White Fang and The Call of the Wild were probably two of my favorite novels as a kid. So much nostalgia there. Moby Dick isn't all high seas and adventure, so I would watch out there, but 20,000 Leagues definitely is. Treasure Island is also a decent one, make sure you get an older version or you might get censored stuff. Also, first edition, unedited Lovecraft is good if you're looking for horror-of-the-unknown, but those are generally a good bit longer and harder to wander through. Dante's Inferno is worth a read, even if you don't believe, and the fact it's in poetic forms helps get through it quickly. Usually you can get it along with Purgatorio and Paradisio. I also personally liked The Island of Dr. Moreau, which is sci-fi and darwinist ~~racist cough~~ ideas.
Currently a no here, but I am working on getting the education for one.
Biomedical Engineering. Miss me with that libshit.
Island of Dr. Moreau, if you've not read that already, and Brave New World. I'll have to wander through the collection again, but those pop to mind.
In my second year.
I mean, engineering requires logic and reason, and so does this stuff..... Only makes sense that the sensible people are drawn to sensible ideas.
Disaster island, that England
Well, if you're white, it might be difficult...
???
I personally find Huxley got it more right. Take the heart out of sex, make it all solely for the pleasure, and you control people by the basest part of their animal heritage without them ever knowing something was wrong. After all, most people just want to be happy, right?
No joke but I went to the ostrich farm here in az and it was nuts. You don't realize how big those birds are until you're right by them. Dinosaurs are real, and they make amazing jerky.
I am proud of myself today. Started dieting and adding in some cardio last month, and have been sticking to my plan like a damn limpet... And I went from 155 to 149 lb. It's the first time I've been under 150 since 13ish and honestly, it is so cool to see. I've still got 10 more to go before I'm comfortable, and I know the holidays are coming up, but I really think I can be 140 by Christmas Break. Dunno how much y'all care, but I'm really happy, so.
That's actually a really great place for maths help.
The calculus stuff is really well-done.
Don't worry! I'm quite stubborn when I put my mind to something, and the smaller portions have been great for me just not being capable of eating so much. 5foot 5 inches, which is just about average for my demographic.
I stayed up to see it roll around, but now I must sleep because test tomorrow.
Well, so long as you didn't miss an important class, you should be fine, no? I'm guessing the class isn't a no-absence-policy class, or somehow I doubt you'd be that calm about it. And good for getting back on that! As someone in the biological sciences I can confirm, mind and body are in no way separate. The health of your heart, lungs, and the ability of your body to balance and create the cerebrospinal fluid all is a factor of main-body health. Fat activists are full of shit.
Good Job Luther
At the same time, you have to get her to really like you, and sharing the same views helps in getting them to like you.
_coughs_ guys............
it's islamic truck of peace time
needed that cultural enrichment, thanks
Happy medium-- only eating lunch.
I just like the taste of it. What're the supposed benefits?
I'm making sure to be with my s/o, and I'll be bringing my mini bug out bag with me. Both of us have been really on edge, and I don't know how much stock y'all put in this but half the family has been having really weird dreams about armed takeovers... And they don't even know about the Antifa shit. It's very strange and unsettling.
@StaysafeTV - 191 lb Muscle Man So I just watched your video posted in self improvement, would you like my thoughts on it as far as editing and the like goes?
Sorry! Late-ish dinner for me. Let me get on this...
So, please do keep in mind I'm no professional? These are just mostly things I noticed.
One, the music was a biiit loud. Especially when the violins would start to get faster&louder (crescendo?), they could be distracting, and a few times in the video I was more focused on the music than what you were saying. Not to say I didn't like the music-- certainly a nice change from the other rap/electric of a lot of other similar channels, but it could be distracting. Perhaps use a sort of sound equalizer, or move the peaks of music to the more activity-focused parts?
Two, and on a similar note, when you weren't talking and instead had just shots of (I mean, I should assume) you working out, it was a little weird for me. I'm much more used to swelling outtro music, or music to fill the gaps between talking, but it seemed a bit uncoordinated. So, assuming you still go with the classical stuff, perhaps time the crescendoes with the working-out footage. It'll give the activity a more, uh, dramatic? Epic? feel, while still keeping the focus on you, both talking and performing the activity. I know it'll probably be hard to find music that matches up _perfectly_ with that, but there should be something to match them a little closer.
And, if that's not a thing that works, perhaps try putting voiceover on the workout vids. As it stands, it's something between vloggy and fitblog, which while the vlog would be fine for intro/outtro, it again seems somewhat disjointed to have there be face/notface segments in such a short video. I know you mentioned it was a shorter-than-others video, but usually cuts between face is used for steps, or distinct segments. Perhaps that'll change in the longer videos, but as a first impression from the first video I've seen of yours, that's just how it came off.
Editing, sound/camera quality, etc was all nice for a small channel, not much to say on that other than it works.
I did notice the camera wobbled while you were at the gym-- was someone holding that for you? Perhaps invest in a small tripod, that way if a gym buddy can't make it, there's still a setup, and it'll also seem more stable and professional.
The last thing would be the script. I don't know if you chose it as the "style", but another reason it came off as an odd mix of vlog and fitvid was how it seemed semi-scripted. There was human error, not edited out, and it seemed very genuine, but the "I have thought a whole ton about this" style of genuine. It's charming, in its own way. Not sure if that's what you're going for, but it's how it seemed.
Overall, I liked it! You seemed to have a lot of passion and interest in what you talked about, and gave a nice, simple overview of everything, which I liked, especially as someone who doesn't go around a lot of fitness sites/boards/etc. You've got a good camera presence, and spoke, for the most part, quite clearly and articulately. But again, just my impressions, and I don't do a whole lot of video editing so I am not entirely sure how much of this is "person who has no clue what they're talking about tries to give advice to pro" versus "hey I noticed (x)". But I hope you find it helpful!
I try to do things thoroughly, no sense in halfassing analyses.
Interesting that classical can be copyright flagged-- not sure what all YouTube will take, and what all you like, but a quick search does show some potential options. I'm no lawyer, can't help much with that. Hopefully it'll be resolved easily...
I can see where you're coming from with that-- I'll agree, it is a lot more clinical, and I'm not saying your girlfriend does a poor job of it, at least not in that video. That is your aesthetic choice, and honestly, it didn't bother me, I just vaguely noticed it, felt you should know.
Not a problem! ๐ Link the next one, when it's out, and I'll go through the video again, if you'd like. And best of luck with your cuts, man! Or, should I say, best of willpower?
I had a similar problem at the start. I can tell you the smaller portion size does absolutely suck at the beginning, and you will feel hungry. However, I can tell you hunger is a physiological reaction triggered in good part by the weight and tautness of the stomach ("stretch" of the stomach) and that your stomach can and will acclimate to differing norms in relation to that stretch. So after a couple weeks of eating less overall, you will feel the hunger less as your stomach acclimates to a different stretch.
The other option, if you find it's a boredom reaction and it's missing chewing, is to chew cinnamon or mint toothpicks, or celery. I prefer celery, because one stick offers a lot of those little celery fibers that you can just crunch on, and there's decent-enough hydration (as far as snacks go) and good fiber, provided you actually eat the fiber glob at the end. And yes, it's kind of gross to think about, but so is being a wild hambeast.
